This is correct. You want a 23mm bit if memory serves, though, not a 7/8" bit. It's either 23 or 27mm. Can't remember off hand. I will check when I get home.

Can I ask what kind of Drill Press you bought Russ? I'm starting to think of jumping in on a drill press for milling purposes (even as poorly mechanically inclined I am with power tools).

Thanks Russ I'll add it to my searches. Figured for the prices I've seen and if the lower powered/speed units will work for milling it's not that big an investment.
I was fooling around with a bench mounted drill press for practising before I start milling chips and I discovered one thing. Set your speed to the lowest setting and ensure your fixture you are putting your hip into holds it fast. Good luck.
