I’m glad the discussion brought some light into what’s going on, Bourbon $5’s being used as an example here. I do want to point out that just because a rack recently sold for $1,700 doesn’t mean you as the current owner of Bourbon 5’s immediately can sticker them with a $1,700 or similar price tag. There’s been Jack 43mm chips that have fetched $4,500/rack. Is that their real and concrete price in the market? Absolutely not. On the contrary just like any recent sale, it’ll entice those hiding them in the vaults to sell at those price points. That’s just how the cycle goes.

I didn't mean to make your thread go sideways @MilouPilou1 , I just wanted to understand how these chips command a price like what you're offering. I think I understand, but not really. I wish you luck and hope you can find what your after at a reasonable price. Reasonable being subjective, of course.
Thanks sir,
It's always good to raise questions that put things into perspective.

Could you please pass on my phone number to the fella who bought the Jacks...I would like a word with him.
And Merry Xmas

Then these must be magical chips...because in the CT days these were on par with PCA fivers regarding price.
I know that for sure because I trade a rack one on one...and so did Pasi.

Again...I understand these being expensive chips, but not nosebleeds
1700...really ? Can not compute that....
Just makes me hate what chipping has become. Why are people so thirsty.

Good luck though @MilouPilou1 hopefully someone can hook you up for the price you are offering, which is already a super generous one.

I haven’t even been chipping as long as you have Mike, and I already feel the same way. First word that comes to mind that describes what’s happening, disgusting. A guy puts his neck out, offers a grand a rack and can’t even get any nibbles all because someone unloaded their entire stash at more than double what they last sold for. That’s b.s. and pretty crummy.
