Broken Bell Tourney Set (1 Viewer)

I thought the hundo was going to be my favorite in the mocks and it's really good but the 5K is the nuts! Nice job

Can't believe I'm saying it, but I actually think I prefer these black background inlays to the cash set. No small feat because I really loved the cash set inlays as well. Absolutely beautiful matching pair of sets. Congrats, Tommy!

That 100...man, that's sweet.

How close are the 25 and 5000 in person? On my monitor, they look fairly close, but I already know my eyes have issues with certain shades of green, grey, and pink. Likely it's just me...

Man..those 1ks look amazing in stacks. White makes for such striking edge spots.

Amazingly! The hundo is my fave, and gawd, those chips looks awesome oiled

When I first saw these I was paying too much attention to the colors/spots. The inlay artwork is really terrific, Tommy.

How did you oil them, 1 at a time fronts + Barrel edges, "Dip in water method....?

I do the edges first. 1 barrel at a time, 1 rack at time. After 5 barrels, I wipe the rolling edges with a clean microfiber to remove any excess oil.
Then I use a slide method for the faces. I put plastic down, then two microfiber towels on top. The top one gets oil on it in two places.

oil = slide -> flip -> slide
dry = slide ->flip -> slide on the non-oiled part above or below the two oiled areas.

You can move pretty fast with this method. After about 200 chips you can just flip the top micro fiber and do another 200 chips. The first couple of chips will have a bit of excess oil so I dry them with a few extra slides.

I'll leave a rack out on cardboard while I do another rack. Then I'll stack the fist rack back in barrels (using an old chip rack) and then wipe the rolling edged once more with a clean dry microfiber.

The set wouldn't live up to it's name without some broken bells.;)

Found these two while oiling. They were in the chip box closest to the shipping box damage. David always includes a few extras and I ordered some extras too so its all good.

Set looks awesome, Tommy! Congrats. Love the T1000

I hate to see the shipping carnage though (one chip is too many to be honest). I tried to get David to allow me to pick up my package but he said it legally can't be done. Too bad as I live only a couple hours away.

Hey Tommy - did you ever do a bounty chip to go with these ??

I didn't. BTW, this set was decommissioned and the inlays were removed. They have become a project for someone else now.
