I had a high-stakes set of the Cartamundi chips. Really nice weight, but a little plasticky. I wonder how much of their allure is due to the fact that they're almost impossible to find in any quantity these days?

I'm kinda amazed by that.. for a while they were *everywhere* and for cheap, when they were first available.

I had to get them from Europe, so that made it a little more expensive. I had 1000 chips and a dozen 500K plaques. They were fun to have.

Just received my samples. Awesome! The chips are great, the plaque is a fantastic touch, as is the 007 button, but that dealer plaque is just soooo substantial! Where'd you get that made, again?

The OP who had these made might have a spare, but otherwise, they were mostly a one-off.
