Trops better back story - history does a lot for a chip I think - in time Bellagio will be there - but Trops hold a special place to be so ahead of there time with color scheme - just unreal set

Trops for me. Great chip colors and design from 1957, TRK all the way

Can someone who loves the Bellagio chips explain why they love them so much? I mean, I love the hotel itself, and the $20 chip is nice, and the $5000 chip is the bomb, but how often are they even in play? The rest of the chips to me are nice enough looking, I guess, but I don't understand why they are so beloved here.

Clean inlay and one of the best spot progressions out there. I've stayed and played at the Bellagio so there is nostalgia there too. The chips just look better to me. I like the Trop hundo and frac, but after that I don't see what is the big deal either.

That's cool, thanks for your answers. I wasn't trying to come down on the Bellagio trips, but I'm a relative newcomer to this, and I was wondering if there was something I was missing. Also, I just saw the $500 and the 1k chips, they are pretty sweet. I hadn't seen them before when I did my initial comparison.

Bottom line for me is that the Bellagio chips are cooler than the Trop chips. History has nothing to do with it, imo. That's part of why the Dunes set - if looked at simply from the perspective of the chips alone - isn't a competition-crushing set, either. If the inlay said holiday inn express putt-putt, hardly anybody would give them a second look.

Everybody's free to judge it however they like, but for me, it's all about the chips, and nothing else.

You could put nudes of KP on the bellagio chips and I still would not want them....and goes for most of the chips that made the lame 8. Sorry, my tastes are different than most the members.

Bellagio. I like darker, simpler inlays to start, and I prefer the color combinations anyway.
