I have a folding Chanman table with the gray suited speed cloth and 10 cup holders available for sale. If you've never played on one of these before, they are incredibly well built, sturdy, heavy tables made from 3/4" plywood. Mine has the added rails underneath for support. The felt like great, no stains. There's a small nick in the rail vinyl on the side underneath the table that was there when I got it, probably from shipping. Tony said I could put some vinyl epoxy on it if I wanted to, but I never did since you can't really see it and it's so small (I can post pics of it later). It was used for poker nights for a few months at my previous place, but with a newborn on the way, I don't see myself being able to host again anytime soon. So I'm passing this gem along to someone else who can use it. You'll have to pick it up though, I'm in San Jose, CA. I'll try to find some better pics. Right now it's being stored.

I don't recall how much I paid for it, so I will have to post the asking price later once I find out. But it will be less than what I paid for it, obviously.

I also have 13 red Gasser chairs that I'll be selling as well. I'll post those after I can get some pics of them.

As someone with 4 small kids that barely was able to host over the last several years, don’t sell your table and chairs!!!!

Eventually the baby will start to sleep and you start having some free time again to play. If you keep the equipment you are asserting that having games are important to you, just putting it on hold for now.

If you sell, it becomes an issue when you want to buy a new table and chairs again.

Good luck with whatever you do and congrats on the coming baby!

I found the price for these tables. They are $521 + $200 shipping from Chanman, so $721 total. I'll knock $121 off the price for an even $600, which is a great deal for a table of this quality IMO. He really does make an awesome table!

That's a great price!

Note to self: design a table with Chanman!

Is shipping usually considered a component of resale value? I’m not trying to troll your sale thread, genuinely curious as I have one of these tables too.

10 player chanman table for 600 shipped. How do I pass on this. If @ovo doesn't take it send me a PM and I'll try and get the funds in my paypal, and try to figure out what to do with my other table (don't have room for two tables).

I think that’s the local pick-up price, hence my question above.

Im assuming it was an oversight in attempt to come up with a sale price quickly. shipping cost doesn't increase resale value of anything except maybe contraband.

With an item like this, it has to be a factor, since the shipping costs are so significant, and you really can’t get one without paying them.

This is my sentiment too. Regardless of shipping costs. If I pay $60 to have a rack of chips overnighted to me, I wouldn’t expect to pass that cost onto the next purchaser.

To play devils advocate though; in this case, because chanman is not in the USA... that shipping cost is a large component of price as @upNdown said. The tables are priced amazingly pre-shipping, and still a great deal after shipping. (I have a basic 8, so speaking from experience) if I stumbled across this 10-man locally I’d certainly strongly consider it @600... and likely snap buy at its price pre-shipping.

Sorry for the rant @RainmanTrail

At the end of the day, these are the perfect table for everyone but those who have to have the fanciest pedestal and felt options... this table is built like a tank, perfectly functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

GLWS!

Say you buy a refrigerator for $900 and they charge $400 to deliver and install? Is the refrigerator worth $1300 for someone to come pick it up and install it themselves?

I am not sure Travis really thought it through (maybe he did), but he's essentially saying the table is $521, and Ill only charge you $80 shipping since you'll be picking it up yourself.

I think he’s saying, you can’t get one for less than $721 all in, so I’ll save you the $121 and you can take this one.

I’m in agreement with you though, that high shipping is a tax/tariff we pay to get a product we couldn’t otherwise use... and as an initial buyer we pay it. It is not however something that adds value to the product inherently and shouldn’t add to resale costs.

Again, all that said, I think the table is worth $600, and for sure worth the $520 he charges new, even if your paying that price for a “used” one. (Here in the states)
