So I was chatting with my daughter on the phone yesterday, and she brought up that she's interested in starting a poker game with her friends. She's fairly inexperienced, played in a few tournaments with me when she was a teen but that's about it. But she's looking to play cash because she expects folks will come and go.

So of course I started gently probing and she has some tatty paper cards and was thinking of buying some dice chips. This will not do. So I told her I'd find her a cash set with an ok break down to have shipped to her and send her a setup of used WSOP Copags so she can start out on a better foot.

To that end, I'm looking for a cheapish cash set. Since they're just starting out and still young even a decent looking slugged ABS set would be more than acceptable, but I'd rather send her a set of Tinas if I can find one on offer. She says she'd like to play for quarters, either $25 or $50 buyins. So I'm hoping to find something with a breakdown like

100 fracs (quarters or unlabeled flexifrac)
200 1s
200 5s

Seriously not too picky about these, just anything better than dice chips will do for a start and if I need to go get some sluggos from some online shop for her I will, but figured I'd see what turned up here first. Would rather not wait on the next group buy to open and arrive or I'd just go that route. These really only need to hold her over until summer, as if she's still into it in a couple months I'll get her something nicer and a bit more personal for her 21st birthday.

She's in California, so should be easy to ship them to her for me =)

Thanks in advance!

Howdy Demonnic, you're so thoughtful for getting your daughter chips and copags.

If it helps, I ordered Panda KGBs in your exact breakdown from Justin in October when I first joined, and he just got them/shipped them out. I haven't touched them yet.

In November/December I went all in on Tiger Palace and will no longer need the Panda KGB set (I dont even play cash in the first place not sure why I got it). Would be happy to send it to you at cost if the colors, designs, and chip progression are okay with you. My cost was ~$280 ($230 chips, $20 shipping $30 label fee)

100 $0.25
200 $1
200 $5

As a bonus u could recommend her the Rounders movie to watch and she might connect the reference.

I'd suggest a cool Tina set or maybe Mario set.
Peach is 25c, Toad is $1, Mario is $5
A barrel of Luigi $25 wouldn't hurt
Those would be pretty cool, I did see a tournament set of those up for sale recently. And I think I saw them on eBay in 500 chip sets for a reasonable cost. I wonder if those are legit or if someone stole the design. iirc @rjdev7 designed those and I wouldn't want to wind up with stolen goods so to speak. But wouldn't mind a secondary sale.

Sweet! I actually have that set. Love it and felt it regularly, which is why I didn't just send it to her for the cost of shipping lol. Pandas are kind of a thing with my friend group. What mold are they on? Strong contender right out of the gate here =)
