Hello everyone. New to poker and new to chipping but the chipper fever has me good.

Paulson semi-custom solids (Grand Cardsroom) micro stakes set on WTHC/Suits mold. The $1, and $100 are on THC mold. Case inspired by @Hobbyphilic.

@JustinInMN thank you for the welcome. Enjoyed the post you linked. I have not played a game with these demons yet. Ultimately it depends on the crew playing and what they prefer in my humble, newbie opinion. What are your current thoughts?

Got it. Looking forward to a game using microsstakes set with the 0.10, 0.50, 2, and 5 chips.

The most played set for me so far are the Muertos chips. We play with 500, 1000, 5000, 25,000 usually. People love throwing plaques around.

Ack! 9 demons? Sounds like a game from hell...

But seriously, new or inexperienced players and hosts seem to use the more denoms = better philosophy.. when the opposite is true. Use the least number of denominations that spread your game (much more efficient in both cost and gameplay time).

I’ve been in games where people have $1 and $2 and $5 and $10 and $25 and $50
Chips. Such a waste.

The rule of thumb is each denom should be 4-5x the value of the previous one. Only exception I see is the tourney T500/T1k jump.
