I see mine!!! Well, I see them all, and pretty sure one of them is mine...
You’re welcome! All double walled, which I have down to a science now. Two rolls of packing tape for 12 boxes means about 1/6 roll per box. If we are under insuring, then it is my job to over pack! We all got great chips and I’m happy to help.Nice work. I appreciate the time and effort that goes into this. Thank you for that.
Those packages look bomb-proof. Nice work!
Sounds like I will be contacting you for a packing consultation after the Aria GB gets rolling. You’re welcome! All double walled, which I have down to a science now. Same here. My 20k order should be shipping from Tina soon. I was actually curious if simply reshipping Tina’s boxes via ground through DHL or UPS would be better. Otherwise double boxing FRBs sounds like the way to go.Sounds like I will be contacting you for a packing consultation after the Aria GB gets rolling.
You can get started making the double-walled boxes weeks ahead of time—that’s what I did with the Matsui GB. That way, when the chips arrive, most of your work is already done— just fill pre-made boxes with chips and some padding, tape the top, label, done.Same here. @FDLmold can you take some photos of your inside packing method?

Mel, are you trying to get me killed by my wife??? She's already about to go postal on me for all the chips and stuff I own that are stacked all over the place. What the heck would I do with a bunch of pre assembled boxes while I'm waiting on the chips to show? "Yeah honey, these boxes are just going to sit here in the dining room for a few weeks until I get that shipment of 17 metric tons of poker chips..." corner of the garage? Yes, I suppose not everyone has a place to stack 40ish pre-made boxes, haha.
I hesitate to use LFRB, either as buyer or seller. If over 600 chips, I would generally rather just use 2 MFRB. I guess 601-800 I would trust LFRB, but over 800, I get nervous because of weight. I am probably overly cautious.
Let me double check my chip counts for this buy.Yeah Mel, that is one of my questions. I am going to be shipping you several thousand chips. So is a bunch of MFRBs best? I wonder if at that point I should look into something like DHL or UPS ground?

If Tina's cardboard (from the 500-chip boxes) gets wet, I predict it will disintegrate instantly. I think toilet paper has more wet strength than that cardboard. I would not use it to ship anywhere. On the bright side, those 500-chip boxes fit perfectly in a MFRB and LFRB, but you can't quite get two of them in a LFRB. There is enough room in MFRB for another 100 chips if you try really hard, but those are better at 550. LFRB 900 is about the limit. You can squeeze 400 more chips in around a Tina box with packing without too much trouble.Same here. My 20k order should be shipping from Tina soon. If you don't tip, I don't care. It's appreciated, of course, and I'll just "waste" it on more poker chips, but that is a virtue around here and not a vice.I hope everyone is bumping up their final shipping payment to Paul. These GBs are a lot of work. Please show your appreciation.
Double Wall LFRB directions (also works for MFRB)
Here's all you need. If you do this without a tape gun or something similar, forget about it.

Start by making your insert. First cut the unfolded LFRB along both folds, making two half-boxes.
View attachment 734451
Then in both half-boxes you just made, cut an inch into the corner on both sides.

Now use the other LFRB and actually make the box. I am at the point where I like to tape the bottom 7 times. Five horizontal with the crease in the middle, then two perpendicular to that. I did that, but forgot the photo. Now we will put one of our half-boxes in the box, like so. It's snug, but fits pretty easily.

Now insert the other, opposite to the first. It's more snug, but also fits pretty easily.

Voila, box in a box. Now the creases we made earlier become important. Once we pack the contents, if we are far enough below the top of the box, we can fold the inside box down far enough that we can fold the outside box quite normally.

All told, takes less than 2 minutes I'd say. I've been using old Wall Street Journals for packing materials, so the chips I'm sending are protected by the outer box, the inner box, some newspaper, and the China box. I'd say we're doing ok.
Who ordered the six chip Aurora Star sample set from BGinGA? There was only the one sample of six chips, and I forget who it was.
He actually got his 900 chips, but also 20 random extras. He built samples into his 900, so he already had the sample for you before getting a few extra chips.I asked @BGinGA to get me a sample of his chips, but I'm not sure if he ordered one for me or if this is it or not.
Glad to hear it. I think my perfect future china chip group buy everybody has to order in multiples of 500, and I will send chips out in MFRB only. Easiest GB shipping ever!
MFRB 150-600So are the LFRBs primarily for the orders 500-1000? Off the top of my head the people in my group all had pretty large orders so it would be multiple MFRBs per person.
