China Clays Faded? (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys!

I just picked up a cash set of Pharoahs from a local store here. I still need about 225 5s. However one roll of the 5s looked faced around the edges. I tried wiping with water but that didn't help. I read you can use an oil and that might help get the original color back? What oil do you use?

agree w/abby, those look faded due to excessive UV exposure, and I'd try to return them for exchange.

Mineral oil is what's used for oiling chips -- and a very little goes a long way.

Thanks guys. Was an hour drive to pick these up probably rather just eat the 10$. I need to order 225 now online as he only had 475 in the store. Thanks for confirming this can't be fixed with oil!

Hope my tourny set coming in next week doesn't have an issues!

Yeah that's the place! Pretty awesome if your in a bind and need something right away as they are open 24/7. Defiantly a different setup I would have never expected!

He told me to bring them in and we will just swap them out for 25s and I'll just order the rest of the 5s online somewhere to complete the set. Even though I think now would be fine for 1/2 or even 2/5 with max buyin of 500 assuming not to many reloads if guys get felted.

It can't hurt to try the mineral oil since you are keeping the chips.... just put a small bit on a rag & wipe down..
