Hi all!

I usually play 1/2 home games and am thinking of replacing my current chip set. I've been using Monte Carlo chips for a few years.

My budget is about 0.50-0.75 per chip and I'm looking for a 500-600 chipset with denominations suitable to my stakes

Thing is ive been browsing this forum and various online shops and there are really a great deal of variety. Any good recommendations? My preference is more towards the 10g chips with feel similar to Paulsons

Thanks !

I actually posted a reply to your earlier thread about samples and could ship you some for you to see/feel for yourself.

Even Paulsons vary in feel depending on mold and weight. The home series Paulsons such as the classics and World top hat and cane also feel quite different as do mint and used casino Paulsons, but feel is subjective to each individual person which is why most members here will always advise you to get samples - you wouldn't want to spend your money on chips that you might end up disliking and selling later on (though many of us have been on that road)

For your breakdown it would be good if you can list how your game plays(how big a buy in and how many rebuys) and how much bank you will need.

For your budget, off the top of my head, you would be looking at China clays such as the Milanos or Majestics or Dunes, some ceramics and quite possibly casino used Paulsons.

You could probably find a set of cleveland horseshoes for that budget or pretty close to it - there were tons of $1's, $5's, and $25's sold pretty cheaply, and just by way of example, there's a rack of $5's on eBay right now for $89 shipped http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Paulson...305318?hash=item5d6d652b66:g:R74AAOSw44BYYSHK - if that's the eBay price, you can do better here. But like everybody else is saying, you have to get samples of the exact chips you're buying. A casino used Paulson RHC mold chip feels light years different from a new Paulson THC mold.

Put up a willing to buy add. As @upNdown said you should be able to find a set of Cleveland HS chips for a $1/2 cash game.

You came along a a great time to be able to get casino Paulson chips for under a $1 chip right now.
