Chip redemption notice - Rockingham Park (2 Viewers)

Did you guys think they were decent build? Definitely not going to pay $250... but if craigslist is anything like the auction they will be going for $150 in about a week.

I played on them a number of times, as did a pretty large number of people of varying sizes. They were folding-legs types of tables, but I don't recall there ever being a problem with sturdiness.

OK thanks.

If i see one going for 100 to 150 i think probably worth picking up and recovering.

supposedly all dead. im sure you saw the 2+2 thread, all denied

I'm not sure what thread you're talking about, but I personally met the guy who's opening the cardroom in Boston Billiards. Cards fly Nov. 3, if I remember correctly.

Man, I wanted those dice

I don't think you do. I contacted the seller to clarify if there were any cancellation stamps. His reply, "unfortunately no" WTF? So I sent another question asking if there were any logos that indicated they were from the Rock or just generic numbered casino dice. He stated they were just generics from the Rock.

Nothing special and you can buy new numbered casino dice for less in many places including some PCF vendors if I'm correct in my conclusions here.

I was saying this as I bid on the lot that had the dice (along with a bunch of miscellaneous stuff). It got too pricey quick.

Exactly, they bought lots of supplies and were excited about the opening. No more zoning issues AFAIK.

i only saw last nights 4-1 against new Salem cardrooms. Where are you seeing anything about the 2 Nashua card rooms not opening?

Unless youre thinking of cheers, that link you provided is for Nashua.

This place did not make it.

How do you see they did not make it?

I couldn't find any info except it looks like the hearing/ vote was last night.

EDIT: Oops .. so you watched the hearing LOL> thats how. o_O

Watching the board meeting now..

Wow.. talk about shady reasons for denying.

They had concerns that the pizza shop could then put in slot machines? WTF! Slot machines a charity poker room do not make.!

The police said they had concerns and think would need a detail. But they don't have resources? Ever heard of overtime. i call B.S.

The LOL moment was when they had no actual facts or studies shown, they were just hypothesizing about potential risks.

At one moment one person was like, I drove by several times and there is a gym nearby..I'm sure gym members should not want to see additional cars. WTF

The whole thing is a big WTF!

Seems like some behind closed door dealings were happening.

And the numb nuts who said "I really want to see a business like this in the area" but voted against it?

Or the old guy who when asked to list his reasons for denying... tanks for a minute and then had to be prompted to say traffic concerns... WTF !

This doesn't sound half as bad as the NH Senate hearing where they shut down a bill to explicitly legalize home poker in NH. It went something like this.

Senator: "I don't see the need to pass something like this. We already get together in Newbury once a month to play home poker. The fire chief is there, and there are even some police officers who play. If we make that legal, anyone could just start running poker games, and then who knows what could happen?"

These people all just sound to me like scumbags waiting for someone to slip money into their pockets. It's also known that a lot of Gov. Hassan's followers went out of their way to shut down all gaming-related bills for a while after her crooked One Casino to Rule Them All plan failed.

^^ Thats pretty messed up.

Not to be an ambulance chaser or anything........But.. I call dibs on one of their tables and a set of chairs in the fire sale! they look NICE.

I went through a lot of the hearing last night and while everyone sounds like an idiot or dated, the argument of the location being a poor space can make sense. If they could secure another location that describes what they are looking for, I'm assuming the zoning board would have to let it pass.
