You were nominated, seconded and sustained. You must have missed that club meeting. It was the day that you were pulling rope out of Audrey’s butt........ I am so confused where I became the card reshipper.
Yup. Josh's legal counsel even signed off on it.You were nominated, seconded and sustained. You must have missed that club meeting. It was the day that you were pulling rope out of Audrey’s butt.
I read the first line initially as: "the community just doesn't do it for me anymore" and was heartbrokenConfession - the chipping part of this community just doesn't do it for me anymore. I respect the hell out of many custom sets, some casino sets, even a couple NAGB sets. However, I haven't bought or sold much of anything in a long time, and there really isn't any set that I would be pumped to obtain anymore. Having been chipping for 7+ years, my interest has ebbed and flowed, but this has been an extended down time.
I do, however, love the meetup component. Nothing better than spending a bunch of time with some good ass people

Hmm. I have an interesting feeling that may or may not be related. I haven’t been in a position where I can travel around to meetups. Probably I’ll get there in a couple more years - I’m looking forward to it. There actually used to be a New England meetup, but I guess that was a different generation of chippers. And for now I’m lucky to have a bunch of local PCFers - I hit their games, they hit my game, it great. But still, I’m pretty jealous of all the meetup people. And there’s always been this sense on PCF about the meetup people - sometimes they’ll even come right out and say that meetups are the real stuff of PCF. I get it. When you play with people in person, that’s where their real relationships are formed. So it’s a real thing and I can’t really blame anybody for it. But it often feels like there’s an exclusivity among the meetup people and that the rest of us are on the outside looking in. Probably just a FOMO thing. Not sure if anyone understands the feeling or has gone through a similar process.
I think I’m going down a similar path; I don’t care too much about acquiring chips anymore, and am more excited about attending a couple meetups (PHL2, Straddle2 on tap for 2023).Confession - the chipping part of this community just doesn't do it for me anymore. I hear tiger penis soup can enhance virility. These new Tiger chips are giving me degen tingles, though.
I went through something similar but oddly seeing the China card mold chips have gotten me wanting to build some old school Paulson sets (Crystal Park and Vineyards, ideally).Confession - the chipping part of this community just doesn't do it for me anymore. Clearly, divorce.I don’t host poker anymore.
I have a “used twice only” $6000 Chanman poker table.
I’m still buying poker chips and playing cards.
I have a problem(s).

Pretty darn close, but starting with pennies -- one cent/three cent limit, three raises, on the kitchen table. The days when your entire bankroll fitted into a one-pound coffee can.....My view of chipper evolution

You mean from PCF?Clearly, divorce.
I confess that I agree about the Tiger chips. They're the brightest chip set I've ever seen, and everyone here at PCF seems to always gravitate to the bright ones. To that, I'm sure they will go down as the GOAT for many chippers.I confess I don't see what all the fuss is over the tiger chips. 3rd maybe 2nd best NAGB chip to date so they're not that bad but people sound like they've never seen a blaze orange chip before! I didn't want to post this there because that would be rude & as lame as all the bitter RPC haters out there posting on the RPC pron thread. Yes some Tigers look AMAZING by themselves but together they just don't compliment each other very well imo. "Meh meh meow" as a set would be too harsh but one shot did remind me of when I barfed up Cap'n Crunch w/ Crunch berries when I was a kid. I like the inlay and LOVE the Hot Stamp but how the hell did they overlook a frac?!? MORE FRACS PEOPLE!! (Or am I the only poor person playing poker here?) I would continue but I already know that I'm gonna be "cancelled'" for what I've said.
If anyone involved with that project reads this please know that I'm very happy you're moving the ball with GPI & if I get the chance to aquire some of your hotstamps also know I will actually play with them and not just flip them...

IMO there's almost TOO much neon...so much that it overwhelms the chips. I guess I'm a bit more conservative with color, I like neon used sparingly for added punch.
I do think the inlay is perfectly done...simple and classy.
I would really love to know the back story and how these came about.
I feel the same. Although I occasionally pick up some smaller sets, my desire for something new has faded as the prices for a 3 table set have gone from expensive to more than a used BMW.Confession - the chipping part of this community just doesn't do it for me anymore. That sounds like an amazing dish on a cold winter’s day…where do you source your tiger dong? Can the recipe work with substitutes?…my buddy has a bead on some moose cock.I hear tiger penis soup can enhance virility.
I’m with you there too. They look great on a computer screen. But I’ve played with bight sets in real life and they can be overwhelming. One crazy contrasting neon chip can be cool, but two or three of them on the table at the same time is just too much. For me anyway.I confess that I agree about the Tiger chips. They're the brightest chip set I've ever seen, and everyone here at PCF seems to always gravitate to the bright ones. To that, I'm sure they will go down as the GOAT for many chippers.

Is it possible to boycott flippers?…or somehow put a badge on the most notorious offenders to “protect” the community and the hobby in general?I confess I don't see what all the fuss is over the tiger chips. 3rd maybe 2nd best NAGB chip to date so they're not that bad but people sound like they've never seen a blaze orange chip before! isnt that what the vendor badge is for?Is it possible to boycott flippers?…or somehow put a badge on the most notorious offenders to “protect” the community and the hobby in general?
Sadly, no. However, there are a umber of chippers that have developed "do not sell" lists. Is it possible to boycott flippers?…or somehow put a badge on the most notorious offenders to “protect” the community and the hobby in general?
