No, just seems pointless to drink a very expensive, flavorful whiskey that was crafted specifically to fleece wealthy Japanese business travelers (it was available *only* on trans-Pacific flights to Japan for its first several years) -- and then add ice, which dulls your taste buds.
But to each his own. I'd rather waste my money on thousands of little bits of plastic that are never going to be used...
