The desire for customs outweighed the desire to wait for sufficient funds. Besides, this was my second set of chips, and I had never played poker. It wasn't until the Paulson Private Cardroom custom relables 1000s hit the table that I learned that there is a difference, and thicker doesn't mean better.

If you are following along in real time, feel free to ask any questions. If you are @Jonesey07 following along in real time, you should be helping. I got the ABS chips out of the way now.

As the sun sets, we lose optimal light for pics. Sadly, that means the full group shot will be obscured in a little shadow, but I can guarentee it will be many years before I even consider doing this again.

I hope this made your day of isolation a little happier.

Such an awesome thread you guys!
Really look forward to the day that I get to see you again. Would be nice to actually play some poker next time.
By the way, I always enjoy MJ’s writeups, and was sad to see the Vegas trip one unfinished.
And I need to get myself one of those zombie plaques!

Plaques are free. We've left then in every PCF'ers house that we've stayed in... so there is a price.

We do head up to BC every 10 years, but maybe we'll make the next trip sooner (Liz's brother lives in Victoria, so we have a reason).

Did not realize that I had an unfinished Vegas post. Alcohol usually gets to me by the end, but I do keep copious notes. Just bump the thread if I slip up!

Next Vegas trip is scheduled for July, hopefully the world will normalize by then.

Comic conventions are kind of like my house. Does that count? Lol.
We’re scheduled to be in San Diego for July. Miriam was chosen as a special guest for SDCC this year, but we’re afraid the event might be canceled.
Last time you guys came through this way I so badly wanted to play, unfortunately work got in the way. Things like that is what has actually made me reflect on whether or not I want to go back to work there when our France edition finishes up.

Awesome thread, and equally awesome sets! For the ES set, do you pick and choose with 5's are going to be in play for that given night?

I'll let you know if the $5s ever hit the table.

Seriously though, I only intend to use the Brown $5s. I seriously dislike the red 5s (or just about any red chip with blue spots). I was going to sell the red 5's off for what I bought the brown (relabeled AS $2s) for, but then thought that if I ever needed to sell the ES cash set, it would be devalued by not having the "right" $5s.

In the meantime, if I had a player that disliked the non-standard brown chip, I would put the reds back into play. Meanwhile, they are trade fodder if anyone wants to unload AS $5s.
