Wife’s birthday…so I have to do whatever she wants to do during that week.

Basically you get paired with someone. Pair with the highest finish gets half the pot and the trophy's. Pay out other half to first and second.

It was always set for the weekend of April fools day (because that makes me laugh), but due to freaking Easter being a bastard, it might be moving a week up or down in future years (if it continues)

Well, fuck me in the goat ass, I probably should have read the rules in advance because my entire strategy was (1) be seated at the same table as my partner; (2) wait until @CraigT78 busts; (3) dump my chips to my partner; (4) play drunk @CraigT78 in cash games; and (5) hope my partner wins the tournament :(

I'm actually in a bit of a holding pattern right now as far as making it down there.

I had planned on travelling down with Tony, but he's not going to be making it because we're busy in the shop. (Which means I should also not be heading out)

Combine that with me having a metric fckton of health issues lately, has put me on the less likely to appear route.

I figured I would just pull a Schmendrick and cancel last minute though.
