I have started to brainstorm on my last CPC design before the closing date in April.
Background of the set.
My poker room is known as Anthony C's Memorial Poker Room, after my dad who passed away 3 years ago. I've gotten into trying to create a set based on this.
I already have a baseball themed set known as The Dugout (see link in my signature). This theme will be a little different.
The background is that my dad owned, at one point, the largest fireworks company in the United States (professional display company). Winner of multiple fireworks competition gold medals (see Montreal 2006, and Montreal all-star 2009). Huge company.
Anyway, I want the poker chips to convey the various colors of fireworks. My dad's business logo will be incorporated into the inlay. I haven't gotten that far yet with inlay design.
Anthony's Poker Room will be the title of the inlay with some form of the business logo.
Below are some of my brainstorming on chip design. I like the traditional chip base colors for $1, $5, $25, $100. I am attempting to incorporate a gold edge spot into one of the chips (gold is a major fireworks color). I haven't decided on what color in CPC is the best for gold (haven't arranged my samples in detail yet) so I went with butterscotch. The green chip is to highlight the various pastels that make up certain unique firework colors.
The black chip seems to me to have the most work to do.
What is the forum's opinion. I really enjoy the attention to detail here.
