Craps Table Build. Big Day. First Mating of Framework! (1 Viewer)

I've been toiling with the build as much as time will allow. I'm pretty confident that it will be built by the weekend. So stoked! I also managed to score 50' x 4' of 1/4" cork. It was pretty funny, too. I asked the flooring manager at home depot if they sell it by the foot or yard. He takes me to this giganta-roll marked $225. I laughed and said I only need 10 feet. He sold me the whole roll for $50 tax in! Not sure how that works....

PICS!!!!!!!

It's actually terrible if you think about it. It goes to show how Vegas and the industry thinks and feels about its customers. Or used to at least.
it's cause the big 6 & 8 are actually useless bets as far as payouts, for dealers, it's an out of the way bet, kinda like you going to a football game but you gotta stop by your friends house to drop off his asthma medication cause he forgot it @ your house last night while you guys were drinking listening to barry manilow music on youtube. kinda like that!!

Youtube? Not at my house. All albums are played with the crisp warmth of a turn table. The way the divines intended music to be heard
But in seriousness, a flat out attempt to rip-off patrons. Like selling tickets at the cashier that they're handing out at the bar...

Love the layout for home use but,

The biggest thing for me was finding a layout that didn't have that friggin' Big Bet corner!

I find that having the big 6/8 corner helps when I am teaching people how to play so they are not confused when they get to the casino... Lol, funny that the only use for the Big 6/8 is to teach people to avoid the Big 6/8 - It is mostly just an eye sore so I think your choice here is great.

Well I've heard the argument that it is like a field bet and thus allows you to play two numbers at once. And it's a fair argument until you calculate house edge/odds. The field is a tad different because of the obvious amount of rolls it includes. But being what it is I just can't conceivably understand what any casino is thinking by using such shitty tactics.
Luckily it has been a very long time since I've found a casino that still uses it. But the home market is chocked full of them!

I love the color choices. I'm not surprised at Home Depot dumping their cork. For a time, it was "the thing" in design but then fell out of fashion. It may have been sitting there for some time at 225 and it was a boat anchor.

Some of the best deals I've gotten at HD were when an item just came out (Milwaukee 18V Drill, Impact, Sawzall, 2 batteries for 199) or when they have open box clearances.
