"Current" Chipset Collection (4 Viewers)

After the Matsuis get here i'll take another family photo. The OP is way out of date.

cpc sunsets
cpc bourbons
Detroit Jacks
TRK hot stamped kings crowns
TRK Posedions
Matsui Emerald Club

I really like the look of the Jacks on my sunset table. Damn I wish there was a game this weekend. Half a dozen local hosts and none of us can host :(

Come to Cleveland for some limit fun! I have 1 seat open

Im labeling over the inlay

EDIT:

Having done label overs, I'd recommend full replacement. Label overs will not be laminated. Therefore, they will feel and look different. And they will wear differently.

Now, if you are certain you will sell these at some point in the future, then label overs may be the way to go, because you won't destroy the original label. But I will tell you, removing label overs and cleaning the chips up afterward is not a simple peel-and-go job.

Don't worry, I've been telling him the same thing for days. Bloody label overs

You all didn't tell me the heartache I would have from sending the chips on to their new owners... @detroitdad does it ever get easier?

I sold one thing, so I bought two more to feel better, but sold more so I wasn't overdoing it, but bought more to feel better. I wonder how long it takes to settle into one final "current" chipset collection.

The choices get tougher and tougher as you go on. Sometimes you realize you shouldn’t have sold something and buy it again lol. I have owned 2 huge sets of Cleveland Horseshoe chips, and sold both of them. I don’t have much love for casino used chips I guess.

I will never sell my custom or PCA sets. Anything else I could if there was something else I really like more. At this time though I don’t see myself buying or selling any sets, just slowing expanding on the sets I already have to make them more versatile.

I think I settled down pretty quickly, happy to have one heavily used casino set, one BCC, one hotstamp, and such. It's a good not so expensive mix to start with. It'll be hard figuring out where to from here next year.

But since I'm not buying entire sets and I still like chips and the mail...we've moved to making smaller purchases and samples. We may or may not have made 20 purchases off PCF so far this month...

I've done that with a couple of different sets. I think I loved the idea of the set. Then once I would acquire it, or re acquire it, I would remember why I didn't love it, and move on.

I love buying and selling sets. Does it cost me money in the long run. Sure, but not much. I usually break even, maybe minus the shipping. Buying and selling all the time allows me to play with a ton of different chips for a small rental fee.

The only set that is untouchable is my Sunsets. I would even sell the bourbons if it came down to it.

o_O

And the award for the most anal retentive organized guy on the forum goes to...

It doesn't bode well for my wife to come across packages every day of the week. You say organized, I say I'm trying to remember when I have to get to the mailbox first.

Plus my last two weeks at work are just me sitting at the computer hanging out, trying to fill 40 hours.

labeling sucks. It looks like bcc quality control issues.

1. Use them as is for my one dollar chips.

2. sell them
