The real question is what BOH are you going to use? :sneaky:
Last update for a little while I guess. I literally just got the set, and it makes me forget about everything else I have collected (sorry Caminos, I have NO loyalty  :ROFLMAO:). It is an absolutely phenomenal set, instant favorite.

They will do for now! I scanned through the chipguide for options from NV but the choices are limited…and if you can find them in quantity (unlikely) they will be very, very expensive.

It’s tough to find something that works perfect. I opted for these since the spot pattern is almost the same. Just a tad thicker lol.

When I joined PCF, I thought collecting samples would never be for me. Changed my mind completely a few months ago. Collecting samples is great - you get the benefit of discovering and owning a ton of news "sets", you get the thrill of the chase and the reward that comes with finding rarer chips. And they are a great source of inspiration for customs!

I am ready to be poor John!!

They are phenomenal. The edge spot colors make the peach even brighter in person.
Do you mean these chips ???

Even when you consider some of the forum's "heavy hitters", I'd argue that you've curated one of PCF's finest collections, dude. Look forward to hopefully getting some in play at a UK meetup soon.

Thanks a lot Jack (sorry it took me a while to formulate my answer)! I think this collection is very representative of what I like. Even if there is an obvious common thread here, I am particularly pleased it's quite diverse too...I think there is a little bit in here for everyone with an interest in the hobby. I can't take any credit for putting this collection together though. I have been the beneficiary of a ton of assists over the past 12mo. Without the help of the friends I made here, this collection would have been very different. A big thank you to them, I know it's never easy to let cool stuff go.

I realize "collections" thread like this one can be a little annoying...I am obviously very excited to share the pictures of what I have acquired but I hope this won't be perceived too much as a "look at me! look at me!" exercise. I hope long time/new members will (re)discover some chips that aren't getting as much attention as the grails we all like, or the chips that we regularly see trade/sell every day in the classifieds (I am particularly proud of the mixed THC set!).

Maybe one part of my collection that won't get as much attention as the sets pictured in this thread, is the samples collection. Putting these together has been hard work lol. But again, I received a ton of help. I joined PCF to buy only one set (failed), 12mo later I think my samples are as important as the sets and BOH I have collected.

There is a lot left to be done! I have a mixed cali cardroom hotstamp set in the works that could be the absolute nuts, a few more BOH to complete, and a bunch of singles I need to complete my samples collection (especially cruises). And probably one custom set. And I'd like to continue to work on the list of playable Cali casino sets and maybe expand it to cruises.

I am looking forward to our first meetup (probably in 2022)!

I think my favorite would be the Silver Saddles, I like colors better overall and the $25 is the best looking chip out of either lineup, followed by the Lakeshore $20

Some close ups to start...

And obviously, lighting makes a huge difference (no alteration to this picture)...I think this photo is closer to what the chips look like in person. Both line ups are super bright but, in my opinion, the Silver Saddles are more elegant and for that reason I'd pick them over the Lakeshores. And I agree with you Jim, the $25 and $20 are the best chips in the lot.

Some of the most fantastic color combinations ever - IMHO …..

Here are some shots of my small collection. Had these since the early 2k's, maybe earlier. Casino chips mid to late 2k.

I am bran new to this having just finished my game room and still probably three weeks from our first game. I have enjoyed spending the last month or so learning about and selecting Chips. I had no idea how involved this hobby was, and certainly appreciate the color and appeal many of these Chips have. It can really get into your head!

The start of a good chipping weekend…

Organizing my sample collection…will need more of these cases (found on Amazon UK) since I “have gone full old man singles collector” according to a "friend" :ROFLMAO: I have another 200+ singles I need to sort...maybe I've turned into a singles collector

...and removing the inlays from those Jack snappers is a PITA tbh...but really looking forward to finishing this set.

@OfficerLovejoy - following up on yr question in the mail thread...

I am a big fan of the LL - it's the first casino set I wanted to buy when I joined PCF - and have added more to this set recently (still in transit though) to cover higher stakes (you know...just in case  )
+ 360 x $25 (total 440)
+ 200 x $100 (total 220)
+ 40 x $500
and finally 20 x HSI $500 that I am consering using as LL $1K.
