While I look around can anyone help accelerate my learning to make best use of this space to buy custom chips for home game

That is a loaded question. What's your budget? You can get custom chips from around 40-50 cents (Tina's, china clays, sluggos) a chip, all the way up to and over $10 (relabeled Paulsons) a chip. And brand new, manufactured to your desire, custom clay chips from CPC for around $2-6 a chip.

Don't be in too big a rush, and enjoy the education. Spend a few weeks here reading on various chip types, and get some samples. Ask specific questions. Not everyone will give you the same answers, so be prepared for that.

This is amazing advice, especially the don’t rushing part. As someone who recently just joined about last month, browse lots of content on here and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

My observation as a new chipper, if your looking for custom chips under $1/ chip then I think you have these options:

BRProPoker - semi-custom or custom ceramics
TINA (Justin GB) - custom ceramics and hybrids
Relabeled Plastics - Gear, Spinettis and one I’m forgetting will do custom labels under $.50 a chip. You can find endless amounts plastic chips in this range as well. (There are some vendors and Amazon sellers that offer this as a “One Stop Shop”, although you’d have to look around for this)

Above $1/ chip
Classic Poker Chips
- custom compression mold clay.
Relabel casino chips - same principle as relabeling plastic chips, but with live or obsolete casino chips.
