When I tuned in I was looking forward to some sparks, but I am enjoying the conversation, topics, and poker itself. Kind of refreshing to see honestly.

Yes. I’m enjoying it also for those reasons. Not a fan of hype, trash talk and posturing. I will admit though that Hannibal Lecter in the middle is a bit freaky.

Good stuff. AJ>AQ. Daniel checking the turn most of the time was a surprise. Must be his strategy.

Meh. I mean, is it functional? They could've done a shorter oval, or just a rectangle...

I wouldn't call it beautiful, but probably not fugly either. It's just....different.

It's covid-proof at least!

For those like me that didn’t catch it; the first 200 of 25,000 hands were played live and DNegs is up by $116,500 in profit heading into the online portion on WSOP.com.

I haven’t been following this situation but would like to watch some. So I assume you can only rewatch the love event on PokerGo? And where can we watch the online matches?
It is available for free on YouTube. The online matches I don't know.

I wonder if last night was just Daniel messing around on 200 live hands, showing none of his real strategy for this challenge. He’s been pretty secretive of his planned strategies - I bet he didn’t want to show anything real, on the first night, with hole cards revealed.

I feel that if DN was playing some exploitable strategy in an effort to throw off DP for the next 24800 hands, that DP would adjust very quickly once they hopped online. So I'm hesitant to think DN's playing the long con. DN will get lots of feedback from his coaches between sessions, which makes me feels we could see very swift adjustments in DN's strategy until he finds his groove in the online portion.

But man, that live portion was great TV poker. They were not being pieces of shit to each other. I'd love to see more of this. That Brent Hanks guy though, he's just not good at interviewing and he's barely tolerable on his podcast.

crap I bailed after the first 100 hands when Polk was winning his money back - would have liked to have seen the last few hands

The pronunciation of Negreanu drove me nuts all night. I will say that.

Even if I’ve been saying it wrong my whole life, it’s still irked me.

The table definitely sucks. One errant chip rolled off the open gap (it was recovered by DNegs). A shitty way to treat a beautiful Aira $1000 chip.

Our theory is that the table was made for 2 dealers, to speed up play. I'd hate to think of paying a 2x rake for a heads-up match though.
