DayGlo Saturn is Awesome. (2 Viewers)

I guess I’m just all about that base…

Another example used as an edgespot.

FWIW, this chip was part of a set I designed and gave to my BIL. Each chip was based on a theme with close meaning to him. He, my sister and their family live in Florida and the citrus industry is part of their lives. The “theme” for this chip was “Citrus” and the colors of course, are meant to represent Lemons, Limes and Oranges.
DG Saturn is perfect for the Lemons since it has that slight green tint, which is typically in an actual lemon:)

Maybe the best, but advice to set designers always seems to be that it is unpopular and awful.

It is my favorite Key West chip. I wouldn’t make a custom set without it.

The hate for Dayglo Saturn is so vitriolic that I lose sleep worrying about mandatory buy backs, and I think some of you would love to throw them all in a bonfire.

You may think it looks like puke or baby diarrhea…I think I have awesome chips made out of solidified Ninja Turtle ooze.

All I have to post is my Key West chip for now, but I have a few more Saturn customs on the way, and will love them and post them when I get them.

I would love it if others could post their favorite Dayglo Saturn chips here, to counter the egregious, slanderous narrative that I am the only person alive who likes it.

PS Dayglo Tiger is stupid.
This color would seem to be an acquired taste. Takes a little getting adjusted too.

Every color CPC has can be worked with. Saturn is a fantastic colour to help twist a base into a new shade. It's a dangerous colour to use as a base and would recommend never to do so. But every set I own has Saturn somewhere in it. Normally high denom. Make it's quirkiness into a feature.
Well this is going to be interesting. At least I have PLENTY of time to be convinced otherwise I guess.

Any chance there's a sample of these!?!?!

Dunes $20 baccarat is lime, correct? Dayglo Saturn isn't lime. But as a tribute (or homage as it were), it might just work.

What the camera sees...

What it actually looks like (colour adjusted)

That's the thing. CPC has no lime green so DG Saturn is the closest yellowy-green. Is Saturn Green, is it Yellow...does it even know??

What @Himewad said.

My main problem with DG Saturn is that the material looks plasticky. Doesn't give me a clay look and isn't a good fit with any other chips in the set. Then there's the vomit part.

But hey, they will be your chips. As long as YOU love them, it doesn't really matter what we say.

All valid arguments, I must admit. I think it’ll work but I’ve not seen all 80 of them together so watch this space.

If they are disgusting then I guess I’ve blown AU$500 on land fill.
