Diamond Chip Cleaner (1 Viewer)

Does using TSP without an ultrasonic machine still clean really well just soaking and agitating?
No sir it does not. FYI

Taken from ultrasonicmachines.com

It's About the Bubbles

At the heart of Ultrasonic Cleaning is the bubble; actually, lots of bubbles. These bubbles are created by sound waves as those waves move through water. This is known as Cavitation which is simply the formation of bubbles (a cavity) in water. If you’ve ever seen the foam left in water by a spinning boat propeller, then you’ve seen cavitation in action.

How Cavitation Cleans

Since bubbles such as those created through Cavitation are just empty space, there’s nothing to keep them open. As a result, these bubbles collapse, or implode, almost as fast as they are created. In our machines, this happens millions of times per second. This constant implosion produces tremendous vacuum energy in the form of heat and pressure. It’s this combination of heat and pressure which gives Ultrasonics its cleaning capability and power.

Why is Ultrasonic Cleaning so Efficient and Effective?

When cavitation happens near a dirty object, the vacuum action produced by those million of bubbles constantly imploding creates a tiny pressure wave that reaches deep into every nook and cranny of even the most delicate items. This tiny pressure wave dislodges and breaks up the dirt and other contaminants and gently lifts it away. The result is very fast and effective cleaning.

Well, sounds like I need an ultrasonic.
It depends on the chips and the kind of the filth, but with most of the chips I’ve tried, a 10-15 min presoak in tsp, soap, and warm water makes scrubbing a formality. Literally a quick wipe or two per side with a scrub brush and they’re clean as new.

I got some more cleaner. I will be using 1 gallon (maybe not all of it) for some chips that I need to clean.
I plan to clean my chips with and without an ultra sonic cleaner. Will post another review when done.

The other gallon will be divided up and sent to anyone who would like to test it out. Not sure on the proportions yet and how many mini samples I can get from a gallon. I suspect you should be able to clean at least a barrel.

It will be first come first serve if you want a sample. I just ask that you cover the shipping. Small flat rate box probably.
I'll have to find some small containers for liquid too.

Post in this thread that you want to test it and I'll see how far I can stretch a gallon.

In, but I need a lot, so I might not be the best choice, (have a 6L ultrasonic)

I used the portion that I received from @Tommy (thanks again) and it worked really well. Do I now track down and buy a gallon of this DCC or is there an alternative? I cleaned one barrel of chips and just need to clean 4 more barrels...doubt I will need any more.

Is there a MSDS sheet for this stuff? Also are you able to drain it into sink or needs to be disposed a certain way, I hate scrubbing with toothbrush and need something asap

Newbee here, ....

I actually work in a Vegas casino, and we are looking for some form of cleaning for our non value roulette chips. ( 1800 chips per table, 300 chips each of 6 colors )

How many chips can be cleaned with one gallon, would a larger container with hundreds of chips in it at one time be advisable.

Thanks in advance for all replies....Dave

Honestly a box of TSP from Home Depot will probably do you quite well. You probably want to invest in an ultra sonic too.

Has anyone used the Diamond Chip Cleaner on hotstamps? Thomas Hardwick at Diamond told me that it won't ruin them. But, has anyone actually done it with success?
