Honestly, you probably won't find many people here that would recommend either of those sets. They are both metal slugged ABS, just a step above dice chips. For a bit more, you can get ceramics from the monthly group buys from
@justincarothers in the Broken Arrow Cardroom vendor section of this board. The most recent group buy ended a few days ago, but a new one should be starting up soon. Here is a link to last months.

One advantage of going through a group buy is you can get exactly the denominations you want. Most pre-built poker sets are put together very poorly. They have too many denominations, and they have inefficient denominations. For example they will have $1 chips, and $1000 chips. They also will have $25, $50, and $100 which is inefficient, you generally want each denomination to be 4X or 5X the previous so you end up with only 300 usable chips in your 500 chip set because of how badly they are put together.
I'd say take your time, make a few more posts here, figure out exactly what chips you want(cash game, or tournament, what stakes if cash game, etc.) browse the classifieds, and check out the new group buy once it goes live. Also GET SAMPLES before you buy a full set. You might like the way one set looks, but absolutely hate the way they feel and sound.
