Ok so I'm a huge fan of themed entertainment and a straight up Disney nerd. Not like, "omg I go to Disney World all the time", like "I have a special interest in attraction hourly capacity and unbuilt attractions". Having read hundreds of posts on this forum now, I am 100% sure many of you know exactly what level of nerdery I'm talking about here.

As I see more and more examples of personal sets here I thought to myself, oh that be nice but what do I care about so much I'd want on my chips?

Eventually it hit me. Disney ride vehicles. Not the attraction so much, but the actual ride vehicles I find the most interesting.

I started putting together a list of ride vehicles and associated colors.

Then I had another thought, what if the Imagineers who had the biggest impacts on those attractions were riding the ride vehicles. Maybe like a caricature?

Now this is feeling pretty large to read. I'm starting to shift from Tina China clays with 1" inlay to full print ceramics like bro pro poker. Not sure though, and might not know until I get some design drafts.

I'll post my thoughts for each denomination. I'd love any feedback and thoughts, especially on:
  1. Other attractions
  2. Color choices for the chip
  3. Color choices to make the set cohesive
  4. 1" inlay vs full print chip
  5. Ride vehicle only or with imagineer?
I'm also love to hear from artists who are interested in working with me on this project. I'm still in the conceptual phase for sure, and not ready to bother someone for drafts yet. I imagine the timeline for this project could be up to a year.

$1 Space Mountain Rocket
Base: White
Spots: Red, Silver

This was originally dumbo, more iconic but I just have a stronger connection to the rocket ships of space mountain.

$5 Walt Disney Railroad Train
Base: Red
Spots: Gold, Green
Imagineer: Walt

This was initially Slinkydog which I think is way more visually appealing, but not nearly as iconic. Plus this lets me get Walt on the 5 which I think is cool.

Love the idea.

Consider the Rocket Rods which were the short lived replacement to the people mover (Disneyland 1990's).

Autopia: Bob Gurr

And Maybe the one I'm most excited about:
$100 Doombuggy from Haunted Mansion
Base: Black
Spots: Purple, Green
Imagineer: Rolly Crump as a ghost! (is this in poor taste? he died recently. hmm. I think he'd dig it.

Rocket Rods will be the brown frac in my defunct and never built set :D

Bob Gurr is so damn photogenic, I'd love to use him!

Looks like I could put Bob Gurr on the Peoplemover! Not sure if he worked on the WDW Peoplemover but he designed the propulsion system for the original!
