I’m going to be visiting Detroit soon. And the MGM there has some of the most beautiful chips I’ve ever seen.

The peach .25 is stunning and I’ve always wanted it.

So if I get 2 full racks of .25 and 2 full racks of $1, would there be any issues walking out with the racks without cashing in?

Just wondering if casinos have a rule where they don’t let you walk out etc with 400+ chips.

You certainly won’t go to jail for trying it. Worse they can do is stop you and cash you out.

I typically tell them I need them for later, it’s easier to get the wife to let me play if I have the chips already.

You for sure won’t be able to get any racks of quarters. They’re too rare to just let them walk out the door. The only real way to get them in quantity is by grinding the craps tables for hours.

Depending on the person at the cage, you should be able to get at least a rack of $1’s. I’ve found that honesty is the best policy. I usually say that I’m a collector and ask the cage if they have any sharp $1’s. If it isn’t busy, I’ve had the cage go through a rack along with me to find the best quality chips. If it’s busy, they’ll more than likely just give you a rack and you can go through them yourself.

Good luck!
