Anybody ever actually try this ridiculousness?

Or a stud game for @Lil Tuna ... triple split pot... WTF

Paging @bergs ? Either of these ring a bell?

So... how do you play this? FL, PL, NL or capped? Playing this PL seems like a mental rape of whoever is the dealer.

Drawmaha? Typically pot limit more low key than you'd think
I've also played it standard limit (capped) which is more friendly but less ability to protect hand.

Pot limit in any of these mixed games doesn't scare me much. Know your players, know your hands, and you'll chop or scoop 90% of them.
I think traditional limit lets more people in the hand which reduces the odds of 1 person scooping or 3 people chopping (alot of 1/4 and 1/8 pots)
I like limit for big stakes but .25/.50 or 1/2 pot limit plays pretty low key compared to what most people think

^^ home games are also different from casinos
Normally someone not dealing or not in the hand is chopping the pot
Casino dealers, will do whatever they need to to get a tip
But unless @bergs knows differently I've never seen a pot limit mixed game in a casino

Don’t think I’ve played either of these versions but I’m always up for some new twists on things.
Sounds like what they kept referring to as Bingo, similar to Matt's game but not
Layout looks very similar to the Bingo we used to play at my great uncles. Damn I miss that game, Purple used to hate it so I’d always call it. :ROFLMAO:

Where for art thou purple rain! We miss ya buddy!!

My favorite line ever!! "Every time I get aces I min raise and everyone folds... I can't get any action!"

"Well Purple, maybe you should consider opening your range a bit ans maybe play more than 1 hand every two hours!"

Lmao

Also Tuna... why are there like 8 razor blades behind your head on the poker table? Did they offer "complimentary circumcisions" after 4 hours of play or what?

We did Oakland Raiders at Detroit Dad's a few weeks back. PL

I kind of enjoyed it as often someone ended up with 2/3 of a pot, though there was one 3 way Allin where everyone got 1/3 of the pot. But yeah I kind of liked it because it was a similar effect to running it 3x which is better than ending up as a 50/50 split.

I think there's been a misunderstanding. In Vegas, the dealer 'placed' the turn card face up. The situation you described of a potentially marked card is a non-issue.
You left out an important point:

Players declare their draws before the dealer puts out the turn card.

It is superior to do it this way consistently because if any card is accidentally exposed during a draw then the turn card is not affected.

When playing Oakland Raiders, do you have to move tables/cities after a certain number of hands… you know… like the team.
I thought it was called Oakland Raiders because it is 8 max, you know like the # of wins per season.

Casinos that spread Dramaha will make players declare their draws with the cards face down in front of them, dealer verbally confirms the draw qty, and puts out the turn, then immediately deals the draws.

It ensures that the turn card is fresh and not someone’s discard from that round. Bellagio, Resorts Worls, Talking Stick, Gila River, Aria all do it this way.

We probably should do it this way to ensure a clean turn but it’s more for the self dealt dealers to do.
This is how the game is dealt at Degen. Correctly.
