I would do #1. And when I host 5c games, we never get $5 chips on the table so I wouldn't worry too much about the clash.

That's true - I've only JUST had a 5c/10c game where we got $5's on the table, but we were abnormally deep with more than the usual number of re-buys.

FWIW, I settled with Option 2 for now, although I may end up darkening and/or reducing the magenta slightly before the final order goes in.
