My 1c CPC chips will arrive soon. Very glad my denom text matches OP's rules/diatribe.
Apes may get confused with same denom presented differently on one chip. I say do it.Technically the most efficient jump is an ex jump (as in Euler's number), but people here like 4-5x apparently so I'll probably do that when I buy a custom set several years down the road. When I do get one, it will probably be $.25 or 25¢ AND twenty-five cents on it, but the larger will probably be whichever of the first two.
Shame. Them pretty.View attachment 1513038
… For my cash set, I created these solids with no denom as a “flex” chip, which could be used as a frac or a $20 chip or anything else as needed.
TBH, I made them mostly just because I had two racks of these in near mint condition, doing nothing, and figured I should use them for something…
However, they have still never been used for anything.
I can kind of understand it if you really don't want the BB larger than $1 but also insist on the SB being smaller than the BB. You only need like 40 for a full table to play 50c/$1. I think people also like following currency denominations where they are. 10c and 50c pieces are common, $2 bills are not.I will never understand a .50 chip...unless you're using $2, $10 & $50 as the rest of your set. Common standard progression is 4x-5x increments. .01, .05, .25, 1, 5, 20/25, 100, 500, exception for 1000 for those on the metric system and so on...
I agree. But show me a PCFer who only owns two barrels of 50 cent fracs and who plays with them.I can kind of understand it if you really don't want the BB larger than $1 but also insist on the SB being smaller than the BB. You only need like 40 for a full table to play 50c/$1.
Nothing bad can ever be said about these quarters.Who can say bad things about these fine fracts?

If I ran a .50/1 game (and I don't) I'd do it with .25s. More useable at different stakes and more freedom with bet/raise sizing. Plus MOAR chips is awesome. I view .5 chips with similar suspicion as $10 and $50 chips. We play .50/1 and no use for a .25 chip.
If we change something then to 1/1 or 1/2.
Or....be prepared for bothIf I ran a .50/1 game (and I don't) I'd do it with .25s. More useable at different stakes and more freedom with bet/raise sizing. Plus MOAR chips is awesome. I view .5 chips with similar suspicion as $10 and $50 chips.
If you would play .50/1 only, you‘ll love the 50c chip!If I ran a .50/1 game (and I don't) I'd do it with .25s. More useable at different stakes and more freedom with bet/raise sizing. Plus MOAR chips is awesome. I view .5 chips with similar suspicion as $10 and $50 chips.
With quarters, you are prepared for both. Or, do I need to show you the maths?
But then I can't raise to $3.25.If you would play .50/1 only, you‘ll love the 50c chip!

Now listen here Mister "How much is it to me?" "Who's in?" "What game are we playing again?" "Can I raise?"With quarters, you are prepared for both. Or, do I need to show you the maths?
That‘s true - and sad!But then I can't raise to $3.25.
Yessss....with your help we'll turn this whole forum into a den of shifting paranoia and sudden betrayals...
What if we used a .75 chip?
