I received the felt and I think it is quality stuff. You can tell it is woven much closer than your standard ssc. I love how bright all the samples are. Putting it next to my table I see I am in need of replacing mine. Price seems good too. I will be ordering some, just have to decide charcoal or platinum.

I put one of the samples in the washer and the black-backing seemed to be gone when it emerged. It also frayed significantly on the edges.
Is this expected? I've read here that people do wash their speed cloth every X years. Do you advise against that?

I have never had a customer do this, and I haven't either. But given your example of how it pretty much destroyed the cloth,
I wouldn't do that.

I think when they say wash they don’t mean machine wash. None of the felt edges are finished (sewn or glued so that it wouldn’t fray) and unless it said it was machine washable in the original packaging I’d advise against it.

This is my first experience with SCC. It feels fantastic, and it seems like the QC is really good. No weird shapes or distortions. The blue-on-blue is my favorite. Great stuff!
