I get what you’re saying about masks. Viruses are a lot smaller than bacteria and can go through mask fibres, however there is an argument that wearing a mask encourages people to socially distance and to maintain good hand hygiene.I'd rather commit a minor faux pas than be running around with a Kotex over my mug & actually believing it's has any hope of "keeping safe" from a virus.
Anyone who actually believe that, & ends up actually dying from it, I'm simply chalking up to Darwinism at this point.
If you're soooooo smart my "are you smarter than a redneck" challenge prize is now up to $100... all you have to do is provide the proof.

Drives me crazy when people refute mask wearing because "it doesn't work" / "it doesn't stop the virus"
Where, in the history of medicine, has anyone said these things stop transmission?
The point of everything that's being done is to reduce transmission/exposure, which masks and social distancing achieve.
Condoms "don't work", neither do seatbelts, defibrillators, life jackets, helmuts, or moonsuits

Masks catch moist particles that carry the virus. The virus needs the droplets to carry it. Stop the droplets, which are much bigger and you stop the virus.
Masks dont stop stupid though.

I wasn't talking about public indoor smoking in general.
My point is about bars, places of unhealthy pleasures, off-limits to minors.
They anyway serve severely unhealthy beverages (hard liquor), only slightly milder than heroin.
We have seen what happened when alcohol was banned in the US.
My view is that vaping / heating should be allowed anyway in such adult entertainment places (no relation to burning tobacco).
Smoking could still be allowed in specific places for an extra tax, built-in to the price of the drinks.
I too hate paper (cigarette) smoke ('cause I can't enjoy my heated tobacco), but can happily live with pipe and cigar smoke.
As for the gentlemen pictured, these pictures come from the full-smoking era, and each one of them was still alive till the Covid era, to my knowledge.

Builder: I got an idea... a 4-player, COVID-friendly table. Each with individual felts to prevent cross contamination, and leg-barriers, so nobody gets too close to the table.
Player: How will we pass cards and chips?

I suspect this was designed and built with a purpose in mind. What that purpose was, I have no idea. But I am sure that it wasn't playing poker.
They obviously don't want anyone to be using that table for anything. Not only with the 4 divided felt sections, but deliberately obstructing everybody's legs is the dead giveaway. The only thing missing is razor wire.
