Three years ago I bought a couple @T_Chan poker tables. They are amazing tables and deserved a better room than a garage full of storage, tools, and bikes. So a few months ago, I made a new home for the tables. New luxury vinyl tile floor, painted walls, added 3 120 outlets for space heaters, new storage lockers, new lights, and of course a bar. Here are some before after after photos.

I need to know the answer to the above too. I keep contemplating this but I have a lot of “garage shit”.

I also need some chairs like that in the UK.
We got rid of a lot. We had 4 big bins of camping stuff that I moved into the attic because we only use that 2-3 a year in the summer. I bought a tool cart for most of the tools. I put a black table cloth over it and use it for snacks during poker. I also bought 4 storage lockers to hide all the paint cans, car stuff, sports stuff, and misc crap that needs to be in the garage. Lastly I bought 4 Ikea cabinets and moved some storage into our spare roome. I still hang the bikes in the garage and have the weight rack. Those all get moved out during poker. I just put the weights in the driveway. Without the weights we could park two cars inside but just 1 can fit now. The floors are durable enough for cars. During poker I have room for 3 ten player tables.

I almost forget. I also bought a small shed. I think it is 5'x7'. It fit perfectly behind our other shed so you can't see it at all when in the backyard.

I'm currently at the beginning steps of this right now, thinking about slapping down a floor over the cement and slapping a fresh coat of paint, any insights or pitfalls to avoid in the floor department or am I overthinking it? Any must have wall décor?

Thanks in advance!

The bar is amazing, perfect size I think. Did you have it custom made or is that available to order somewhere?

Sorry for such a late response. I found part of the bar for free on facebook market place. It was an L-shape counter used in a small cafe. I added the top level (butcher block) and new wood on the lower level to match (although the color doesn't match perfectly but you can't tell with my lighting during poker). It is sturdy and has good storage below.

Amazing room. A room that good deserves better chairs though!
Better chairs would be nice but are not practical for my set-up. I keep these chairs hung on the wall. My 3 poker tables have folding legs and are up against the wall too. This allows me to have room for 1 parked car and a weight rack/work out area when not playing poker. If this was a full time poker room, I would upgrade the chairs.
