Not Mine Garden City Set (1 Viewer)

I'd call that price double market value. The $100's are $1.50 each, the quarters are maybe $1.25. The rest maybe $0.50 to $0.75 each. So $200 to $250 for the set - not $489.

That being said, prices are going crazy so I wouldn't be dumbfounded if this auction sold. But members here surely could do better posting a "want to buy" ad.

Well that's valuable, having not been around here long enough to really judge market values, thanks.

How about the WTHC for 450/rack? The guy is all about crazy prices.

The last couple racks of 1's I have bought were in the $20 range ...... I think these are a bit on the high side. Plus those 1's are the smaller insert...you would have to pick up the larger insert 1's to match the rest of the set :)

Condition is important. Those Garden City hundos IMHO are a stretch at $1.50 each. Most of the GC chips (in general) are like communion wafers with crazy rounded edges. Easily 21+ chips to a barrel. I bought a few of these (still have samples) during the TCR sale. Glad I kept samples, as a buddy was about to pull the trigger on a huge set, when he came over to check out my samples, he realized he would not have been happy with a set THIS worn out.

I instantly regretted buying them when I received them. The Huge inlay and super rounded edges made it tough to tell them apart and super slippery. I sold all but the 500 and 1000 chips and luckily got my money back. The 500 and 1000 are oversized and in goodcondition, although I will probably be selling those too now since I have no use for them.

If you can get 5s with the small inlay they are less rounded as are the hundreds with the small inlay. Also if you buy ones in volume you can pick the less worn chips. The fracs are ok condition as well
