Thanks for the info! Was the GoGuard an additional fee? I didn't know that was an option! Any chance you have a sample set for sale? I'd love to be able to compare them to my GOCC sets.Hey @CraigT78 !! Thanks for the compliment! So the reason why they're so glossy is cause they have a finish known to GOCC as GOGuard, basically it's a lacquer type finish that not only makes the colors !!POP!!, but also gives it a durability finish for those very intense poker nights! But ya, it's a high gloss finish that protects the ink on the chip from fading and light scratches. Lmk if you have any more questions! I'd love to answer since there's only a little info on here about GOCC. I was gonna go with CPC but since there was only little about GOCC, I went ahead and pulled the trigger & I could never be more happy about my choice! Mahalo!
They look like Sun-Fly style chips in the pictures. I thought these were oiled at first glanceInteresting. I'm curious to know how they compare as well.
Thanks @detroitdad ! You don't wanna know how long I've been choosing colors and what not before I even began to put my order in! I'd literally stay up half the night some times going back & forth! But it was well worth it. I'm working on my 100 to 1 denominations and there's already been a few sleepless nights!!Well done sir. Its a nice flow from the 500 to the 1k to the 5k which is something of a preference for me (flow of colors).
I actually was hoping to put the GoGuard on thinking that it looked oiled. And it was a success! Some of them were kind of sticky cause I guess they were still wetThey look like Sun-Fly style chips in the pictures. I thought these were oiled at first glance

Well, as a comparison the GOCC samples feel chalky and very grippy, as for the GoGuard set they're kind of slick but not speed cheques slippery and the colors pop like a brand new Mercedes Benz! But the colors are way more intense. Pictures really don't do it justice. Especially in the sun.Interesting. I'm curious to know how they compare as well.
Ya, @detroitdad that's how insomnia looks like!!The 1k chip really does "pop".
I will however have sample sets for sale when I order my $100, $25, $5, & $1 sets for sure!

I wouldn't characterize my GOCC chips (or @Mr Tree 's Paymaster set) as dull and washed out, but the vibrancy added by the GoGuard application is certainly readily apparent.GoGuard, it really brings out the colors that would look otherwise dull and washed out.

This would be my biggest concern. Count me in for samples of any GoGuard chips you may offer in the future.as a comparison the GOCC samples feel chalky and very grippy, as for the GoGuard set they're kind of slick

I agree, but I did notice several chips in the photos with misaligned edge spot printing (nearly unavoidable when replicating clay chip edge-spots on ceramic chips, so no real surprise). The edge spot alignment looks to be very well done.
In for samples.Ya, @CraigT78 the GOGuard was an additional fee. Was like 20¢ extra per chip or something like that. I think it's worth it cause it makes the chip stand out, and believe it or not really added to the professional appeal of the chip! Unfortunately I don't have extras to sell as a sample set. @Mark Sieczka it's actually a security feature that I put on the chips!!!They glow in the dark. Perfect for effect.
It's 44mm and they are sweet looking compared to the 39mm!!!The 5k is bigger? Is that a 43mm?
I'd say for the edge spots your looking about 30% or so. Nothing that major. In fact there was actually one chip that was like "OMG" off! But I'm a little OCD myself and I love them!!!Nice-looking chips! The yellow and pink hues are insane.

What is your estimate of the percentage of chips that are misaligned to the degree of being deemed unacceptable by overly-OCD chippers? I ask, because OCD types will want to order an extra amount of chips to allow replacement of the overly-misaligned chips. Knowing up front what percentage to plan for is valuable information to those planning on ordering chips with similar edge-to-face alignment features.
