Gone But Not Forgotten Poker Chips Sets (Now with photos of over 200 Sets!) (3 Viewers)

@zqar2 probably has but I see now he hasn’t logged on for a while
All good, pretty sure I can picture what they would look like but just would have been cool to see some pics of old school pink 50c guys.. How long ago was this sale when you got rid of em?

Thx to the thread starter to putting this together... I am happy to see, that my set is listed, because my account had some issues so I wasnt able to find my old posts of these Chips "The D&A Casino private cardroom" and "Golden Gate Poker Club"... Kudos

Yes, these are my buddy Technoguru's Vintage Club set. He spoiled us with such nice chips and tables. Now I'm going down the rabbit hole on my first set. I can practically smell my cash burning.

A DG Saturn chip that works.

Are you sure that's DG Saturn? Looks like regular yellow (or maybe canary) to me. Either way, beautiful chip.
Well... upon closer inspection, there does seem to be some metal flakes in the stack behind. Might be plain yellow. Could be the image. Eitherway, it has a nice mellow green tint that works well with those spots.

Just to add another set to this thread. The Aurora Club 2.0 set has found its forever home. This set was created by AK chip and Quicksilver. I am active duty Air Force and left my hometown (Anchorage, Alaska) in 2019. When I first joined PCF I was looking for a chip set that could last years and years of play but I wanted a custom set that I would never get tired of. After a couple Tina sets and BRPropoker sets I saw the chance of a life time to buy the entire 1300 chip set from my hometown! It was meant to be. The 5¢ was an idea Quicksilver and I came up with since I don’t always get a group together that enjoys 1/2 NLH, now I can host micro stakes with my low income coworkers hahaha.

Love this set! Such a good design with the Northern Lights. Got to visit Anchorage a few times with some touring productions at the performing arts center and it was always an awesome city to visit.

My biggest chip regret was not choosing Roman mold which was still available when I had my custom ASM chips made 17 years ago.
I got talked out of it too. A lady at ASM (Sallie?) encouraged me not to use it as it was not producing the quality of chip they wanted to produce. I went with H Mold and I don't really have any regrets. The Roman mold was a beautiful mold but they seem pretty slick for my own personal taste.

I can't believe I didn't know about this thread. I even have a set of chips here (obviously from the years I sort of dropped out).

There are some amazingly baller sets here. Sad to see a good chunk of photos are missing even from this legacy reviving section.

I didn't see this set listed and was one of my favorites of all time. I searched for years and finally found a picture. Can't remember whose set but I'll go dig.

[Edit]blackclay is/was the owner. They don't appear to have transitioned to this hallowed site.
