I am so glad to have re-connected with this site. 10-15 years ago, I started to collect chips. No real reason. I just liked them. I didn't even use them. Just bought them and occasionally looked at them. I eventually boxed most and put them in the back of the closet. The only chips I used were a small 300 chip 1 table tournament Paulson Pharaoh set that saw use only 6 or so times a year.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. The small group I play with wanted to switch from $20 tournaments to a $.25/$.50 cash game. I nixed the idea to use the Pharaoh chips and assign them a value of 10% of the chip's denomination. I told them I'd put a cash game set together. I dug through my closets. I put together a set using Bluechip $.25 Presidents and President Casino NY for the rest of the set.

I found this site in a search to find the proper Pelican case for the set. I was surprised to see that I have been a member since 2016. The recommendations here convinced me to buy a Pelican 1495 case. Pictures attached.

I have spent hours this week looking through member posts and it has given me new enthusiasm. I have gone through my closets and dug out all my chips. I had boxes postmarked all the way back to 2005. I have purchased Paulson chip trays from Apache Chips. I have vowed to put playable sets together, play more poker, and put the chips to use. If I can't use them, I won't confine them to my closet. I'll sell them and let others enjoy them.

Thank you all.

Welcome back! Please feel free to sell me those PNYs anytime! My biggest chipping regret was selling my cash and tourney sets. I mean...you won't regret it. Just saying...

Welcome back man

Let's see the rest of that closet treasure when you get a chance.
I will do that after Christmas and after the Paulson chip trays arrive. Right now the chips are either in cardboad chip boxes or plastic freezer bags. I have chips from: Bluz at the Bend, Casino Aztar; Cyrstal Park; Le Cove; President Casino NY; Paulson Pharoah's Club; and Paulson Vineyard Casino. I probably have more Pharoahs than anything else. Because the chip boxes are only 10 feet from me now, I know I have 1163 Vineyards. I never accumulated enough Bluz at the Bend and Casino Aztar to make playable sets. Probably 300 of each. Tried to get Olivia and Ritz Casino chips at one time but didn't get far.

Le Coves?? PM sent! Lol. But in all seriousness, PM actually sent.

Tony Pap was a Chiptalk legend. I recall some really great stories to go along with an insane chip collection. Welcome back, Tony. I want to hear some updates, like I think you had kids and then did some custom ASM (CPC) chips for them to use when they got old enough? I thought that was you. And I thought you had a full starting chip stack from a WSOP event that a friend acquired for you. Do you still have that? Please post as many pictures as possible on this site asap! Looking forward to having you contribute to this site.

Welcome! I am relatively new here but I am super excited to see an old guy come on home. Especially with some of those chips you mentioned above. Can hardly wait.
