Hummm ... So it's $1600 total ?! I don't get itthere are 8 racks (100 chips per rack) of $2 Hard Rock chips in Mint Condition available
To buy all 8 racks it would $8,000Hummm ... So it's $1600 total ?! I don't get it
Do you get it now?
No. It's written $1000. Not $8000 !!Do you get it now?
But as they've never been into play they don't have a value do they ? They are just chips .... ???Lol. When you buy any set of chips do you pay face value for “the bank?”
While the markup may seem steeper than usual, expecting him to sell at face value is just not reasonable.
I could go all day long ...But as they've never been into play they don't have a value do they ? They are just chips .... ???

If they think the mark up is steep just imagine what it would cost to go out and try to accumulate themselves. Jet fuel and hotels aren’t cheapLol. When you buy any set of chips do you pay face value for “the bank?”

Wow !!! The Planet please !!!If they think the mark up is steep just imagine what it would cost to go out and try to accumulate themselves. Jet fuel and hotels aren’t cheap
I'm not entirely certain about it, but I have a fair amount of confidence that if I went to the cage on a slow night and asked a nice cage person for perfectly mint $2 chips AND told them I would give them $500 for them so a $300 tip they wouldn't tell me no. They would prolly ask me, "sir, how many can we get for you"? I actually went to this room during COVID and asked for mint $1's and the cage supervisor went and looked, but couldn't find any. So while cool, for $1000/rack I really dont know if there would be a market for these. Hell, even the Detroit quarters you're selling which are way more desirable are priced well over market. In any case GLWS dude, hope you're able to move these. If they think the mark up is steep just imagine what it would cost to go out and try to accumulate themselves. Jet fuel and hotels aren’t cheap
You may be right give it a try and let us know of your experience. Lmk if youre willing to pay a $300 markup onan rack of $2's from Hardrock Hollywood I will go down this week and give it a shoot. Price would be $600/rack I successfully harvest which would leave you $400 of profit at your prices. You may be right give it a try and let us know of your experience. Thanks!
sounds good. Please make sure they are mint. Thank youLmk if youre willing to pay a $300 markup onan rack of $2's from Hardrock Hollywood I will go down this week and give it a shoot. Price would be $600/rack I successfully harvest which would leave you $400 of profit at your prices.
It is quite obvious that no one collected them individually from the table. And even more so when it comes to mint chips.I'm not entirely certain about it, but I have a fair amount of confidence that if I went to the cage on a slow night and asked a nice cage person for perfectly mint $2 chips AND told them I would give them $500 for them so a $300 tip they wouldn't tell me no. Mint chips become less minty after 2-3 games... You are overestimating this factor. I can't imagine that I would ban shuffling chips or throwing them into the pot in my home games because they are "minty"...sounds good. Please make sure they are mint. Thank you
100% True and 100% Not enforcedI don't think harvesting is allowed in the classified though. Could be wrong
Thank you!I ain't the smartest guy around (partially based on my wife's daily corrections of things I say or do) - but my hope is to possibly summarize some of the sentiments of some/many of the members here.
For sale are not-as-desirable oversized label chips at 5x face value. Several 'harvesters' here openly offer chips at 1.5-2.0x face value for mint chips.
Maybe I'm also wrong on this - but I don't know that a big casino would be situated so out-of-the-way that it wouldn't attract customers or be difficult to get to. And I believe that there's several members here that actually live in Florida. So I'm partially confused as to how/why these are so hard to obtain. Sure, they're mint - but I bought a rack of mint Paris $2 chips from last year's WSOP for $250 (....maybe it was $260....). Which were also 'fresh from the cage'. And didn't have the whole face covered with a label.
Lucky for me (and many others here), I get to take trips/vacations, and often go to places that have casinos. And again - even though I'm not the smartest, I'm capable of knowing proper play and holding my own at a blackjack/etc table and walking away with pockets full of chips (some times, at a profit). Big tips at a cashier cage also helps, as well as other methods.
Lots of threads here from people mentioning that they're gonna be somewhere, and will 'take orders'. Pretty much a community of people helping others for the most part.
Members here expect to see exorbitant prices on eBay. Same way I expect to see a 7/4 poker machine at a big casino, with the 'less smart' people playing those. I know to look at the payouts, and know I can (still) most likely find a 9/6 at a smaller casino. I make fun of my (adult) kids holding an offsuit 'kicker'. It makes no sense mathematically, unless you're not wanting to win.
I think it's cool that you've got these chips, and you can absolutely list them for whatever you want - but to be blunt - it's aripoffsteep price and you're gonna end upbeing trolledquestioned here, where there's not only hobbiest but professional players. Just sayin'...
Justin you’re flooding my DMS!!!I don't think harvesting is allowed in the classified though. Could be wrong
What are you looking at?@Hotus777
