HARDWELL UNDERGROUND - Cash Game - Omaha, Ne (2 Viewers)

PM coming.
LOL. I knew someone would already try to pounce on them. I haven't gotten my Spirit Mold chips yet and I was already thinking about reaching out about the 8V CCs... Damn rabbit hole.

I should probably make sure I can pull off making my own laminated labels and it looking good on the Spirit Mold before buying more chips...

I'll try not to get ahead of myself. Have to balance the cost vs. buying cards molds ceramics.

The Spirit Mold chips I bought cost a bit more than I had thought they would; average cost was 24¢/chip (including shipping). I'm estimating the cost of DIY labels at 3-5¢ each, or 6-10¢/chip (depending on how they turn out and how many sacrifices to mistakes there are). So that already puts the total cost really close to the ~35¢/chip cards mold cost.

Obviously the benefit is getting these chips sooner than doing a custom order of ceramics, but depending on how difficult making these labels are, it might be worth forgoing the frustration in the future and just ordering cards mold chips.

Don't know what you might potentially sell the 8V CCs at (you might not know yet--you might not even sell when all's said and done...) but they'd probably have to be the same price or or cheaper per-chip than what I paid for the Spirit Mold chips to make it worthwhile.

Side question: I've read Spirit Mold chips being compared to Paulsons for feel and sound, and 8V chips being referred to as the "best" CC chips, so they both seem to be preferred to the newer generation of CCs. If you have both (or anyone else who has experience with both), could you give me a reader's digest comparison of the two with each other, and which of the two you personally prefer?

I could sell the spirit mold set too
LOL I'd only be interested in the colors I don't have any of (red, orange) or not much of (yellow, though it doesn't look like you have those), and the price would have to be right (a.k.a. low). I just need 1-2 weeks (when I get the chips) to see if my DIY labels are viable or a disaster first. :)

Have you already seen the DIY label threads here? I did a lot of experimenting and posted some information along with a few others. Don't want to hijack Sean's thread, but if you haven't seen what I'm talking about, PM me and I'll point you too them.

@zo121179 did a bunch of work on labels too
Thanks! Yes, I tried to do as much research as I could and had read a bunch of threads before I committed to buying the Spirit Mold chips. I have printable vinyl sticker paper and clear laminate, and have been printing and cutting testers on regular paper on my daughter's Cricut (don't want to waste the vinyl and laminate on testers until I have the chips in hand and do some color matching first, then I'll start printing some real labels and testing them out on the chips).

New chips are paid for. Really looking forward to mixing these new chips in with the other stuff.
Looking to expand our single table cash game to two or three tables in the future.

I'm anxiously waiting to get the Spirit Mold chips I bought in my hands on Monday so I can actually handle them. Assuming I like them, I'll probably want to augment some colors and pick up others I don't have any of.

Definitely interested in the 8V CCs, but I know many others are too. Looking to make a smallish 300-500 set, but if the price is right, maybe double that. Would be taking a leap since I've never handled those either, but love 8V spots in general, and reading about the 8V CCs, seems like a relatively affordable chip to buy and customize!
