harvestable THC quarters? (1 Viewer)

The last harvestable quarters I was aware of were the Joker's Wild chips from Henderson Nevada. There was a guy that would leech these off of the craps table I believe. He ended up selling a lot on eBay and eventually joined here. My recollection is that the quarters only come into play as payouts for certain bets on the craps table. This was a few years ago, but a rack sold for approx $150. I bought a couple racks from him.

ohhh ahhhhhh so pretty. I haven't ever seen those Joker's quarters. Good job on that set btw.

PS. What is the process like to make hot stamped chips? Is it possible to get Starbursts and hot stamp them somewhere?

You can’t re-hot stamp a hotstamp chip, they tend to crack or are too hard in that area to stamp well. There was a CPC group buy of hot stamp quarters on the jockey mold that looked great though, check the GB forum.

Did someone say Joker's Wild fracs?!?!?

Got these back in November from two different chippers here. So they are out there.

I have a couple racks of the Jokers Wild quarters too. They are in great condition except for a bit of warping. Unfortunate that they are orange, but that's probably what kept the price for them so low.

Those look delicious... please keep posting pronz of them.

Every time I see rack of Motor City quarters I always wondered 'where tf do they come from?' but haven't yet bothered to ask. Are all these contemporary fracs just craps snappers? Seems like it would be more cost effective to just give the dealers actual quarters. But don't tell that to any casino managers.

That's what they do in every casino I've been to that uses quarters for anything. Half-dollars as well.

Interesting. I've only seriously played live craps in Atlantic City and every casino there requires taking odds on 6 and 8 to be done in units that are multiples of 6 to avoid any change.

They're used for commission on Baccarat and Pai Gow.

You're not wrong, but most state gaming commissions don't allow cash to be handed out by dealers - chips/cheques only. Nevada is a noteable exception.

When I lived in Vegas, I actually shot craps at Joker’s Wild once. It was a $1 Table (first and last time I’ve seen that), hence the need for the quarters.
