Anyone got 1's for sale at a reasonable price I'd love to buy about 4 racks. If 5's are available at face I'd buy some of those too.
Before the wsop, that was hard. Thanks enjoyed the stories!
Never thought it was that hard ( I played in Macau and European casino's, where buying chips from the cage has always been straight forward).
morning flight, get your own, evening departure. Probably still cheaper than buying here.Anyone got 1's for sale at a reasonable price I'd love to buy about 4 racks. If 5's are available at face I'd buy some of those too.
I asked this a couple times. Most dealers had no friggin clue about anything going on.Will Paris have a poker room after this or they’re only doing it for the WSOP? The cash tables are all in the main tourney ballroom so I’m leaning towards no but thought I’d ask.
@RivieraDanny is your guy, he was advertising chips at face value in another thread. Shoot him a PM.Anyone got 1's for sale at a reasonable price I'd love to buy about 4 racks. If 5's are available at face I'd buy some of those too.
Yasssss finally some other stories, thanks for sharing.Still recovering so forgive the writing.
6 of us roll up to the cage around midnight and I ask for 2 racks of $2s. Then my friend does. We both get chips and walk away. We all sit at an empty table near the cash games. Inspect > backpack. I go back and get 2 more, and so does my friend. One of the cashiers says to the other “they’re doing that thing with the $2s again…”. I run into @casinochipper22 and he grabs a rack too. We’re all sitting at this empty table, waitresses are offering us drinks and we’re stuffing our bags with racks. I got 4 racks of $2, friend got 6, and another friend got a single rack of $1.
Aside from the comment from the cashier, no one gave us a second glance, questioned why we were buying them, or hassled us in any way.
Heard about someone who got chips from the cage and then a suit asked about what game they were playing in and ultimately made them cash them in.
Interesting. Was it just one rack of $2s or several?I was the one that ran into the “suit” right after buying a rack of $2’s. Honestly, it wasn’t that big of a deal. I had just gotten checked in at Mandalay and decided to walk over to Paris, not thinking that a mile or two is very different in the Vegas sun that it is in MA. Well, scorched and on the verge of heat-stroke, I didn’t have a good answer when he asked me why I needed them. “I like them” was all I could come up with. Plus the PCFers I walked over to meet had just gotten several racks. So without a good answer, he asked me to change them for $5’s. I didn’t argue, I didn’t feel threatened, and I would try it again (I’ve actually never had a problem harvesting). It was just a one-off and as you can see, with a little help from my friends, it all worked out…

You’re sober bergs, go home.Works everyone, some of the time.
Note: the real pride of this chip was about $210
Ok, you caught me, I exaggerated that part. She came by once, we all declined drinks and that was it.I will say that there is a completely, impossible to believe part of your story that has me scratching my head.
You had drinks offered? Lucky. The whole weekend we played cash Paris has 1 drink runner, occasionally 2 for all 60 ish tables.
I mean I was getting our table to tip upwards of $45 per run for drinks. I had multiple dealers hunting down drink people. I had everyone not drinking at my table ordering drinks just so I could stock up on them in between.
I’m sad now. I thought I was having a good time. I thought this thread was full of fun. You’re sober bergs, go home.
Again, complete newb here never really played in a casino and have never played craps before.I have a few funny harvesting stories. None from Paris (yet)
I stayed at Circus Circus about a year ago just to grab as many chips from their as possible. Friday night, I play a long/drunken session of craps. I played for about an hour on one side of the table, took a break. Then hit the other side for another hour. I didn't even realize it at the time, but I was able to stuff close to 200 chips in my vest. I was tipping plenty, so I think the dealers knew what I was doing, but they didn't seem to care.
Next day, I show up to the same table early swing shift. So it was slower and only two guys playing, one on each end. As I'm walking up, cash in hand, I lock eyes with the box man. He looks at me and says pretty loud, "you again, do you want all ones?!?!" this first dealer was kind of joking. Didn't seem to care. Then I look at the other two dealers and notice they are the same exact staff from the night before. And the other two are staring daggers at me. I'm thinking, what the fuck is going on here. Then before the dealer even starts to cut out my chips, the floor man says "hold on!" then he scolds me in front of the other two players and dealers at the table. he says... pretty much word for word in a very angry tone "we had to have security come down and surveillance had to see where all of our chips went." Then I don't really remember what he said after that, because I was trying not to have a mini stroke. And this is all still while a game is going on and the stick man is still holding the dice. Not too long, but long enough for the dice to get cold and the other two players to wonder what the hell is happening.
i just apologized and the dealer/floor never even touched my money that I had put out on the table when I first got their. So I slowly grabbed the two bills back, apologized again, and walked away. Needless to say, I haven't harvested CC that aggressive since then.
I've been asked to color up at the Craps table several times before leaving. I've always obliged the request, this was before the thought of ever walking away with chips with no intention of cashing them in. Most craps tables are Min $15, sometimes lucky to find a $10 and on busy nights they are $25.Again, complete newb here never really played in a casino and have never played craps before.
So at the craps table, you have to color up/cash out of sorts at the table? What about superstitious folk that want to take their chips with them back to the room and hit the table again the next day?
Maybe casinos are wayyyy more regulated and watch a lot closer than I think, but people are playing all day and night at these tables. Don't any of them just randomly walk off drunk with chips in hand/pockets/wherever?
yeah, when you leave the table, dealers will ask you to color up. The main reason for that is to keep the chips at the table so they don't need to constantly fill the table with chips. That takes a lot of time/effort across multiple departments so they don't like that.So at the craps table, you have to color up/cash out of sorts at the table? I think its a pretty common rule no phones allowed while seated at table games on the casino floor. Just for game protection. but with all rules, they are broken and not forced sometimes.sidenote/question - without going off topic, for craps specifically, I'm so confused. The whole time in Vegas everyone has their phones out, EVERYWHERE. WSOP event, BJ table, roulette, poker rooms, etc. Phone out 24/7, and never heard even a whisper about it.
