ive been grabbing some of the cool old Harvey's chips off of eBay, because they're just really cool.
Anyway I recently noticed that they're not all the same size. Here's a picture of them (sitting in a Paulson rack) with a modern Paulson chip on the end, for reference:
And here are the chips in order:
Clearly, to me, anyway, the quarter and the bicentennial $2 are the same size as each other and bigger than the others.
The $5 looks like in might be a hair smaller than the first two, but is clearly bigger than the last two.
And the $2 and the Paulson $5 are the same size, presumably 39mm.
Do the different sizes suggest anything about who manufactured them? Somebody told me they were made by Burt, but I wonder if we might be dealing with different manufacturers, since there are different size molds?
