Hello!

New member from north of Detroit. New player too, been playing less than a year, and still haven’t played at a card room.

Also, my friend group is in dire need of a solid chip and table setup (that could potentially even double as a game table for our Magic/DnD nights), so hoping to find some lesser known options from more experienced players!

I also just enjoy chopping it up, so looking forward to meeting some new people!

Welcome! South Lyon here... Michigan presence definitely feels strong here.

Definitely consider the Barrington table route for your games as mentioned, and take a look at the Action Table Toppers store section too.. massive improvement to both Poker and board/magic games.

Chip options... depends on price point, desired customization, and how deep down the rabbit hole you're expecting to go. Frankly, run away from here now before your wallet realizes what happened. ha

I bought a table for $119 at Costco in 2004 and it is still in great condition. I dont know the brand, but it s a great 8 person oval.

I have already been going down the rabbit hole for a few weeks, and right now I'm not trying to break the bank, though I am more of a "buy once, cry once" type. For the moment, I'm looking for high quality gear that can last me the next couple years of traveling to games with me, more often than hosting games myself.

I have been checking out everything from Tiki Kings to Paulsons (in my dreams) just to see what is out there. Actually, the main reason I made this account was to see more about those sun mold Tropicanas or those Tangiers - if they are in fact real - and see if I could get my hands on a sample before buying.

That being said, everyone seems so cool straight out of the gate, AND so many of you are local, so I will definitely be getting more involved. May my wallet forgive me.

Oh hell yeah I love Renshaws best bar in metro Detroit.

A friend of mine just bought one and i can confirm it's qaulity. The only downside is the LED strip is straight up unusable due to being too bright. You'd need to add a light diffuser to use it.

Hello From Farmington Hills, recently found this site as my collection of tables and chips has exploded. I run both poker and dice throne (Board Game) and maybe do some Magic drafts as well (Not much into Standard).
