A couple of my buddies go weekly. They like it, but it's not my thing. I enjoy the social aspect of poker more than the gambling/poker aspect. I also can't stand that you don't get free drinks to compensate me for my losses.

Seeing all the VA and NOVA folks here has me thinking I might have to make a trip in the future to see family (ulterior motive to splash some pots).

I played $1/3 occasionally pre-covid. I usually started my session around midnight on a Friday or Saturday, and most of the time the tables were pretty soft. Tight ABC poker & overbetting when you had the goods would lead to winning sessions more often than not.

I looked the other day, appears everything is 7-handed. I haven’t been there since March, but I’ll definitely be back next year.

I just turned 50, so I will be going up there as soon as safety net is in place to play a senior's event....maybe during a WPT or WSOP swing thru. Other than that, I am pretty much a home game player. I can't not think about how much money leaves the table in rake.

This is in reference to the MGM/Live visits.
