Help/Feedback on Possible Web Mold Design (1 Viewer)

I might recommend lightening the mountains behind a hair or adding a slight white stroke on the text. Labels can print dark and you don't want to loss text in the background (especially the last L).
 
Probably an optical illusion but with the small slice of pie on the right side of the T500, and the tilted design of the label, it almost looks like the label is quit a bit off center to the left.

What might help that is if the lighter smaller pie didn’t go in all the way to the center but ended at the inner border of the web mold.

I do notice the off center effect on the other denoms too but just not as prominent. It just makes everything feel ever so slightly off.

I’ll play with alignment some. Thanks for the feedback.
 
Alot more going on there with depth. But I actually prefer the simpler previous inlay. The latest one takes a minute to figure out wth I am looking at. My .02c
 
Adjusted the background behind the mountains to be similar on all denoms, and only color match the trees and text on each chip.

Adjusted alignment on the main text some along with adding the white stroke. Definitely better. Thanks, @Cratty.

Label alignment mentioned by @TheOffalo is definitely a bit of an optical illusion as everything is centered up label/chip wise.

Agree totally. I thought you nailed it with the left chip in post #20. Simple, clear, with large denom -- perfect for a tourney set.

Everything else in my mind has just been needless clutter, no offense intended. I get the trees/mill reference, but not mountains. A river would make more sense to me, but still not necessary.

I also think @Cratty's blade sawtooth effect circling the inlay is a brilliant yet subtle design element (top chip in post #14). I'd go with a common gray colored blade on all chips, and extend it out to half-way into the debossed web area. It will print well, visually enlarge the appearance of the inlay image, tie into the theme, and provide a unique look only possible on a dye-sub ceramic canvas.

No offense taken. I’ve been sitting on this and continuing to go back to the simpler design(s) as well. I
Having them next to each other in one file is helping me evaluate them more closely against one another.

I’m triggered by odd spacing and pattern caused by the 1/4 pie concept on the 500…

I see:
1/1 x1
3/4 and 1/4
1/2 x2
1/3 x3
1/4 x4

I’d expect to see:
1/1 x1
1/2 x2
1/3 x3
1/4 x4
1/5 x4

When I first glanced at your original design, I originally thought you were moving 1 wedge of different sizes around the chip until I looked closer. That concept excited me (although you’d need to figure out how to make the pattern look unique given you’ll likely see both sides at the same time in a pot).

Alternatively, you could also do two small wedges centered at 3 & 9 (or at 12 and 6 if you want) on each side increasing (e.g., arcs centered at 3 and 9 of 30deg, 60deg, 90deg, 120deg, 150 deg).

Lots of options. The 3/4 & 1/4 spot is cool, I just think it looks odd in the pattern you have.

But don’t listen to me.
