Okay so I have a question to pose and hope to get feed back from some of the pros around here.

The game I usually spread is $1/$1 and $1/$2 NLHE. I am looking at spreading a lower limit game for some other folks.

I have a small cash set (Yes the Tropicanas) that I will be using and the color chip I have for the fracs are pink roulette on SCV mold. I am looking at relabeling these as fracs to match the set. So my question is what denomination should I relabel them. Since they are pink I have thought they should be .50¢ chips or NCV but not sure if I would rather have a .25¢ chip. I already have 200 Gold Coast f.25¢ chips that I can use for a .25¢/.50¢ game. so then my option would be to label the pinks as .50¢ or NCV. Or get some yellow chips and relabel them as .25¢ chips.

From what I have seen most of the pink denomination chips are either .50¢ or snappers and most of the yellow chips I have seen have been .25¢ chips although I could be wrong.

I posted this as a poll but I solicit any input to help me with my decision. I know I will be happy with any of the scenarios but want some input from the community.

Thanks,
David O

my thoughts as well but a pink .25¢? Am I being too anal?:)

It's your set... have you looked at the custom sets out there? Colors are completely up to you. Other than standard cash colors, I think the frac is whatever works well with your set. Orange, Pink, Chocolate, Yellow, Blue, whatever...

I used to feel that way too. I now buy $0.50 when I have a choice, and we play $0.50/$0.50. Don't need as many fracs.

I wouldn't hate a game that played the same SB and BB amounts, but I prefer them to be different.

Beat ya to it!

And for the record, I chose blue for my quarters. :)

The problem with blue is that is the color of the 1's

Well then... Go with a chip color that complements the blue $1 chips, but doesn't come close in hue to the reds (pinks sometimes clash with reds - but not always).

There are plenty of examples of pink 25c chips... Railroad Pass and Fremont just off the top of my head. I like the versatility of a 25c chip, allowing for 25c/25c blinds or 25c/50c blinds. Though @liftapint brings up a good point about fewer fracs being needed if you use a 50c chips and play 50c/50c.

I guess I don't have a recommendation other than a pink quarter is fine... here's some pr0n.

Well... blue and pink go together nice IMO. ;)

I agree, so long as it's the right shade pink (depending on the red $5 chip too). I was going to use relabeled Terrible's St. Joes (hot pink), but they clashed with the original Benny's chips. I experimented with several pink chips, but went with Blue for my quarters...

Ok I am really siding with the vote of .25¢ pink chips. I may have to place my order for the labels tonight unless someone else comes up with a better choice ot reason.

Thanks for all of the great input! I will post some prOn when I have them completed!!!

Less than 200 Known....Reliable Sourse who was there....

I'll trade for other 25c if the deal is right/. Been playing and drinking tooooo many beers....................

I don't normally care for a pink frac with a red or orange $5, just makes it difficult to distinguish to me. I vote yellow and $.50!

I have a rack of Gold Coast .25¢ chips if you are interested.

My original choice was yellow but I could not find any. I came across these pink chips and started to go that direction. If you are willing to part with some yellow chips I would be a happy person!!!

If I could find a rack or two of chips as nice as those Golden Gates or the Joe's that @courage pictured I would not, I repeat not mill and relabel them.

For me, the color choice totally depends on the set. Pink goes great with blues, but it has to be the right pink if it's going to be in play with reds. Yellow or blue fracs also go well depending on the rest of the set.

If I were designing my own chips, I'd get NCV for the fracs, and make them stand out. If I were putting together a mixed set, I'd get quarters.

If My $1 chip is blue then I prefer a light colored quarter like white, off white or yellow. If my $1 chip is white or off white then I prefer a blue quarter. My two cents.
