What label chip to use for a frac?

I don't either, but the Tropicana red in question is quite different from a light pink. Here's what I was going to use for fractionals.

And those look like the same color i have

Hot pink quarter ftw, imo - the Trop $5 is sufficiently dark to not pose a problem. Need some Railroad Pass chips? ;)

How about orange ? I relabeled these to use in my Grand Casino Gulfport set.

Those look nice but probably too close to the spot colors on the $5's. I almost had a rack of those fir a real good price but the person said his warehouse was broken in to and could not find them. Nice chips!

Label both 25c and 50c chips ...... only use one at a time at the table (this is what I did) :)

quarters either blue, peach, or light green
50c either pink or yellow

Personally, I have the following chips ;
- Cherry without denoms.
- .25
- .50
- 1
- 5
- 25

Depending on the game I'm playing (NL10 or NL20), I gave my Cherry the value of the Small Blind (nickel or dime) and put in play either the .25 (in case of NL10) or the .50 (in case of NL20).

Having kind of NCV gives some flexibility.

I was happy to read several posts here that say it's okay to go with a Blue quarter. The normal Majestic color scheme is a White $1 and a traditional Red $5....I thought about orange but it was so bright...so i thought I would go with Blue instead. It sounds like it's not so odd to go with a Blue quarter...and since there is blue accents in the Majestic $1, it works. Thanks all for helping me with a sanity check.

I love my blue quarters, but my latest obsession is swapping the RHC mold Terribles $1's in my mixed set for some THC mold $1's. And since there don't seem to be a ton to choose from out there, I may have to go with blue $1's. If that happens, I'll be looking for quarters that are yellow or peach or tan or grey - anything but pink, because I think pink clashes with red $5's.
So I guess my point is, I don't care about WHICH color the quarters are, as long as they work with the set.

And I'm definitely a quarters guy, because they're more versatile, and having a $1 chip that's only twice as much as the frac seems inefficient.

Why isn't there an "All of the above" poll option?

"Moar chipes" is always the bestest answer. How many chips do you actually need? Arrive at a generous number, then at least triple it.

In fact, NCV is too flexible and an enemy of "Moar chipes" so I'd avoid NCV at all costs.

I like quarters. But also the .50 option.

Another solid methodology is to divine the fewest number of chipes you need and then do the polar opposite instead.

The method proposed in op is fundamentally flawed, as you're seeking a single denom solution when you should be using the tried-and-trusted "All teh chipes"/"Most chipes possible" approach.

Smaller stakes is ultimately more n00b friendly, for recruiting and training up new blood.

How about the HS Clevelands?
I thought a lot abou it. I liked those chips a lot. But I don't like dark inlays and I don't like faux shaped inlays. Picky, I know. But the terribles I'm using with the set right now are really nice chips, so when I replace them, it will be with something almost perfect. The Clevelands don't quite make the cut.

Alternatively - Arizona Charlie's Decatur.. similar to HS Clev, but without your negatives and ties in the Dunes with some similar colors and has a red denom (y)

And just for the record, it's not perfect. Perfect would be that same chip, but fully leaded with a textured inlay. But close enough - they make the cut. I'm looking for some.
