Sitting Out
Hi all,
I'm a mid-30s poker player / MTG player in New York, NY, and I'm back on the poker chip forums after designing a custom set back in 2008 (pretty sure I had a username back then on Chiptalk, on an email address now long-gone). Poker play has increased the last couple years, and now thinking about adding a custom cash set to match my tourney set.
Since I've never shown these off (other than to the guys in my poker games over the last 8 years), I figured I'd share them as part of my introduction. The chips are for the fictional "Grenada Poker Classic", and are based on a set of World Poker Tour event chips (designed by epokerdeals). The Grenada Poker Classic is set at the fictional Carenage Club in St. George's, Grenada (where I lived as a kid when my father was in the foreign service) (the Carenage is a beautiful stretch of waterfront along the bay in St. George's; not sure if I'm allowed to upload a picture into the Media, but googling will produce a bunch of great pictures).
So now I'm back in the mix of custom poker chips, and hoping to add a set of clay CPC chips for our cash game (10c, 25c, $1, $5 and $10) (low stakes, for a friendly game for a group of guys that are the full range of incomes and skill levels).
Hopefully a decent introduction. Last thing I want to add is that this site is great, there's so many creative designs and helpful people, I've been lurking the last couple weeks reading about chip designs and checking out the great custom sets that people have made, and I figured it was finally time to jump in myself.
Thanks!
Sean
