Nice post @navels but this recent thread update isn't about scoring a dead guys poker chips. Its disrespectful IMO. Now I know what those extremely vague text messages from @MegaTon44 was about.
Hmmmm, I didn't mean it to come across that way. But I can see why it did.

I personally spoke with several friends of Michael's and was able to reminisce with them about ours and Michael's mutual love of poker chips, as well as pass along messages of condolence and admiration to his family.

Edit: The more I read my previous post the less I like it. I'll repost it another time in a more appropriate thread.

Rest in peace, Michael. One of the greatest in this community, imo.

Not only was he a top notch "producer" and vendor of fantastic poker chips, but also a collector and a chip enthusiast himself. So many sets made for him and by him when the community wasn't as large as it is today. Thank you for everything, Michael!

You will be missed, my friend. I'll drink one tonight in celebration of your life.

Sorry to hear this. I only dealt briefly with him years ago when I bought some Mardi Gras, but he was helpful and seemed like a nice dude.

He had great taste in chips and commissioned some fantastic sets. He was a big part of chipping back in the day.

Rip.

Sad news, rest in peace sir. Great chipper, I wouldn't have my custom t-molds without him.

Very sad to hear this news. :(

It's been quite a while since I had any contact with Michael but he was a real asset to the community & was always helpful and friendly when I would bug him looking for certain things. RIP sir!

My condolences to the family. Michael sent me a lot of chips. My favorites were the Riverboats. He will be missed. RIP.

Michael always included a custom Hold'Em Poker Chips Chipco in every order...or a holiday Chipco. In fact, based on how many of those I have, I could tell you how many times I ordered from HEPC. A good dude definitely, and one that will be missed by the community.

EDIT: I guess I made at least 9 purchases...

I was very saddened to learn about Michael's passing. I had ordered from him in the past but never really knew him personally. RIP Brother.

Wow, sad to hear this news. I didn't really know him, but I ordered Samurai Palace chips from the site several times. Was he involved in getting those chips made originally? They are my favorite set.

I believe I only made one order from him, a long time ago. Obviously didn't know him but it's sad to see a great chipper pass on. From some of his posts he really seemed like he loved chipping.

My first purchase in the USA a few years ago and others after.

RIP Mr Patton.

Sad. New on here so just heard about this. I purchased several things from him including my prize Samurai Palace cash game set. I think I may have also purchased my Paulson Pharaohs tourney set as well, but perhaps mistaken.

Rest In Peace sir.
