I suppose so.

I also think these snappers are going to get to the point where you never see them anymore due to people such as @bergs obtaining large quantities of them, and not really planning on getting rid of them.

I got rid of my snappers to @RainmanTrail and I will definitely miss them.

I suspect most of the 8 spot snappers were sold prior to the pre-sale.

The tri moons are definitely worth more, and will probably be the more sought after chips by the majority. There are only a few of us trying to track down the 8 spot snappers in quantity, and that's because we want limit sets.

The allocation of large denom chips is a little wonky

I think the availability of the tri-moons really opened up people wanting to trade or sell their 8 spot snappers. If you wanted to build a set of these you really had to be working the secondary market thread and sending a lot of PMs.

I like the secondary market idea if the people buying there are building sets to keep. It's not for flippers and I applaud Jim's approach in monitoring this and dealing with it appropriately (particularly since this is primarily a hobby site).

I'm guessing there weren't but maybe 5 racks of 5k secondaries....if even that many

I wish we could see the original post for the pre-sale. I can't remember the purchasing criteria for the 43mm chips

I have a barrel of the secondary 5k chips, but that's only because I bought 21 sample sets from Apache LOL. I might be rich now!
